Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
1/2 cup salt
2 cups water
2 tablespoons canola oil
Food coloring

Steps:

In a large saucepan, combine the flour, cream of tarter and salt. Gradually add the water and oil. Cook and stir over medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until a ball forms., Cool. Divide dough and knead in colors as desired. Store in airtight containers or resealable plastic bags.

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup water
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1/3 cup salt
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
food coloring

Steps:

Mix together all the ingredients in a 2-quart saucepan.
Cook over low/medium heat, stirring.
Continue stirring until the mixture is thickened and begins to gather around the spoon.
Remove the dough onto wax paper or a plate to cool.

KOOL AID PLAYDOUGH #2. 1 cup flour. 1 cup water. 1/2 cup salt. 3 teaspoons Cream of Tartar. 1 package Kool-Aid Mix (any flavor of unsweetened) 1 tablespoon cooking oil.
KOOL AID SCENTED PLAYDOUGH RECIPE. 2 1/2 c. flour. 1/2 c. salt. 2 c. boiling water. 1 tbsp. alum. 3 tbsp. cooking oil. 1-2 pkg. Kool-Aid (# of pkg. will determine color)
