FULLY LOADED BARS
The surprise twist to chocolate, caramel, oat and nut bars? Pretzels!

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350°F (if using dark or nonstick pan, heat oven to 325°F). Grease 13x9-inch pan with shortening or spray with cooking spray.
- In large bowl, beat brown sugar, butter and egg with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. Stir in flour and oats. Spread in pan. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Meanwhile, in 1-quart saucepan, heat caramels and half-and-half over low heat, stirring occasionally, until caramels are melted. Pour caramel mixture over crust. Sprinkle with chocolate chunks, nuts and pretzels.
- Bake 5 to 8 minutes or until chocolate is softened. Cool about 1 hour or until chocolate is set. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 6 rows.

NO-BAKE APPLE BREAKFAST BARS
Stir up a no-bake bar that's rich in high-fiber cereal and apples.

Steps:
- Butter bottom and sides of 8-inch square pan, or spray with cooking spray. Place cereal in resealable food-storage plastic bag; seal bag and slightly crush with rolling pin or meat mallet (or slightly crush in food processor).
- In large bowl, mix cereal and sunflower nuts; set aside.
- In 3-quart saucepan, heat corn syrup, brown sugar, apples and cinnamon just to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter. Pour over cereal mixture; stir gently until evenly coated.
- Press mixture evenly into pan with back of wooden spoon. Refrigerate about 1 hour or until set. For bars, cut into 4 rows by 4 rows. Store covered at room temperature.

DELTA BREAKFAST BARS

Steps:
- 1. Open one can of crescent roll dough and press it over the bottom of baking dish. Press the perforations to seal. Brown sausage in large skillet, stirring until crumbly. Add the onion and sauté until tender. Add mushrooms, green chiles and thyme. Sauté until the mushrooms are tender; drain. Add cream cheese to the vegetables in skillet and cook until melted and smooth, stirring constantly. Spread mixture over roll dough. Open second can of roll dough and separate into triangles. Arrange triangles over the sausage mixture, leaving a small space between triangles. Brush with the egg white and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until golden brown. DELTA BARS
I've never known anyone to make these outside our family. I don't know why they're called Delta Bars. I do know that they are really good and are a crowd pleaser. I've seen one similar recipe but there are differences and I think this one is better ... of course.

Steps:
- 1. For the dough: Cream shortening and sugar together; add egg, egg yolk and vanilla. Add flour and mix well.
- 2. Press evenly into a greased 13x9 inch baking pan (dough will spread thin).
- 3. For the topping: beat egg white until stiff peaks form. Fold in brown sugar. Sprinkle pecans over topping.
- 4. Bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutesw or until dough is done.
- 5. Cool and cut into squares.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch square pan.
- Combine oats, brown sugar, white sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon together in a bowl. Whisk milk, eggs, canola oil, and vanilla extract together in a separate bowl. Stir egg mixture into oats mixture until well combined; set aside until flavors blend, about 20 minutes. Spread oats mixture into prepared square pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until edges are golden brown, about 30 minutes.
