2.5 ounces dry sake
1-ounce vodka
Chipped ice
1 Japanese cucumber, cut into 1/4-inch rounds, for garnish

Steps:

  • Combine sake and vodka in a cocktail shaker with the chipped ice and shake well. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a slice of Japanese cucumber.

Hendrick's gin has the flavor of cucumber infused in it. My husband put together this variation on a saketini to accentuate that flavor.

6 ounces dry sake
2 -4 cucumbers, slices (to garnish)

Steps:

  • Combine gin and sake in a cocktail shaker with some ice, shake well and straqin into chilled martini glass(es). Garnish with cucumber.

  • Muddle cucumber and shiso leaves at bottom of cocktail shaker. Add remaining ingredients, shake well with ice and strain into chilled cocktail coupe or martini glass. Garnish with shiso leaf.
