Cuban Slider Bake image

Provided by Jeff Mauro, host of Sandwich King

Time 45m

Yield 12 sliders

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter
2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
2 cloves garlic, minced
Zest of 1 orange
Zest of 1 lime
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
12 ounces pulled or shredded pork (from the hot bar of the grocery store)
One 12-count package potato rolls, halved
12 ounces thinly sliced deli ham
8 ounces dill pickle slices
8 ounces Swiss cheese slices
1/4 cup yellow mustard

These Cuban Sliders are a fun appetizer version of the classic Cuban sandwich!

Provided by The Chunky Chef

Categories     Appetizer

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 10

12 count package Hawaiian rolls
3 Tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 - 1 lb sliced deli ham (depending on how much ham you want to use)
1 lb pulled pork

2 Tbsp everything bagel seasoning

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly grease a 9x13" baking pan. Set aside.
  • Add package of rolls to your cutting board and using a serrated knife (like a bread knife), carefully slice across the rolls, horizontally, keeping one hand on top of the rolls to steady them.

CUBAN SLIDERS FOR A CROWD

Cuban Sliders for a Crowd image

Every year we do a potluck at the school I work at. I try to do things that are filling but tasty. I found this recipe on Pinterest, but adapted it. Some people are weird about onions, so I excluded those but you can add those if you like (the original recipe had them minced and put in the dijon mixture). These are the perfect size to nosh on while visiting (great party or buffet food). I may try them with jalapeno jelly to add a little spice.

Categories     Sandwiches

Number Of Ingredients 8

48 - hawaiian bread rolls
2 package(s) family size smoked ham (i prefer hillshire farms)
2 package(s) sliced swiss cheese (more if you like it really cheesy)
1 bottle(s) hamburger/surfboard sliced dill pickles (drained on a paper towel)
DIJON SPREAD
2 stick(s) butter
1/3 cup(s) dijon mustard
1 teaspoon(s) ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350. Grease an 11x15x2 inch sheet cake pan.
  • Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half. Place the bottom of the rolls in the baking pan.
  • Layer ham (until well covered), cheese (you may want more if you want it really cheesy), and pickles. Place the tops of the rolls back on (try to line them up with the rolls underneath).
  • Dijon Spread: Melt butter in a glass measuring cup. Whisk together butter and dijon mustard. Let cool slightly and stir again (this will separate and then combine again as it cools). Spread over the tops of rolls (this makes the rolls look odd, but it tastes amazing.... if you want a cleaner look, spread it on the bottom side of the roll tops).
  • Cover the sliders with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes or until rolls are a toasted brown. Cut sliders and enjoy!
