1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup Louisiana-style hot sauce
1 cup ranch salad dressing
3 cans (4-1/2 ounces each) chunk white chicken, drained and shredded
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Thinly sliced green onions, optional
Corn or tortilla chips
Celery sticks

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, hot pepper sauce and salad dressing. Stir in chicken. , Spread into an ungreased 11x7-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20-22 minutes or until heated through. If desired, sprinkle with green onions. Serve with chips and celery sticks.

1 cup louisiana hot sauce
1 cup ranch salad dressing
3 (4 1/2 ounce) cans white chicken meat, drained and shredded
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
corn or tortilla chips

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, hot pepper sauce and salad dressing. Stir in chicken.

2 (10 ounce) cans chunk chicken, drained
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup Ranch dressing
¾ cup pepper sauce (such as Frank's Red Hot®)
1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 bunch celery, cleaned and cut into 4 inch pieces
1 (8 ounce) box chicken-flavored crackers

Steps:

  • Heat chicken and hot sauce in a skillet over medium heat, until heated through. Stir in cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm. Mix in half of the shredded cheese, and transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover, and cook on Low setting until hot and bubbly. Serve with celery sticks and crackers.

This is my favorite buffalo chicken dip recipe for when I am not trying to be healthy and I have a bit of time on my hands.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 boneless chicken breast half (fully thawed, fat trimmed and rinsed)
8 ounces cream cheese (I use Philadelphia)
1 cup ranch dressing (I use Hidden Valley)
1/2 cup sweet unsalted butter
1/2 cup cayenne pepper sauce (I use Franks)
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
2 garlic cloves
1/4 medium yellow sweet onion
1 cup cheddar cheese (or both) or 1 cup monterey jack cheese (or both)
3 -4 bunches scallions (chopped, just the greens)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375. Dice onion and garlic and spread on chicken breast. Wrap chicken in tinfoil, put on oven safe tray, place on center rack and cook for 16 minutes. Turn chicken over and bake for another 16 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes. Unwrap and allow to cool enough so that you can shred it.
  • On medium heat, melt butter in small sauce pan. Once butter is completely melted, add hot sauce and apple cider vinegar to the sauce pan and whisk until fully combined. If you like hotter buffalo dip, add cayenne pepper powder. Whisk periodically until the sauce is bubbling, and remove from heat. You can do this while the chicken is cooking.
  • To a medium-sized bowl, add softened cream cheese and ranch dressing. Combine fully before adding the buffalo sauce. Once sauce is added, stir until no longer lumpy. You can also do this while chicken is cooking.
  • Decrease oven temp to 350. Add shredded chicken, garlic and onions to mixture. Move mixture to an 11 x 7 baking dish. Evenly distribute cheese on top. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is bubbling all over. You can always broil at the end if need be. Remove from oven when done.
  • Chop and add scallions (optional).
  • Serve with tortilla chips or whatever you might like.

I was looking for a recipe for Buffalo dip that did not include cream cheese. I couldn't find one, so here's what I came up with using sour cream.

2 (5 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 ½ cups ranch dressing
1 cup sour cream
½ cup hot sauce
1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add chicken, cover, and reduce heat to medium. Simmer until chicken is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, about 10 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Remove chicken and shred when cool enough to handle.
  • Combine ranch dressing and sour cream in a saucepan over low heat. Stir and heat until warm, about 5 minutes. Stir in hot sauce and 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, followed by shredded chicken.
  • Transfer to an 8-inch round baking dish and top with remaining Cheddar cheese. Place in the refrigerator to cool for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Remove dip from the refrigerator and bake in the preheated oven until cheese is bubbly, 20 to 30 minutes. Let cool slightly before serving.
