FORD F-150/F-250: HOW TO REPLACE CRANKSHAFT POSITION …

Remove the drivebelt (V8 models only) Push the square drive of a ratchet or breaker bar into the hole at the end of the drivebelt tensioner arm.
Move compressor out of the way (V8 models only) Remove the air conditioning compressor mounting bolts and reposition the compressor to the side, supporting it with a length of wire.
Remove the crankshaft position sensor. Disconnect the electrical connector from the crankshaft position sensor, then remove the bolt(s) and pull the sensor from the engine.
Install the new sensor. Clean the sensor mounting surface, then install the new sensor to the engine. Tighten the mounting fastener(s) to 89 inch-lbs, then reconnect the electrical connector.
Reinstall the a/c compressor (V8 models only) Place the compressor into position and install the mounting bolts, tightening them to 18 ft-lbs.
Reinstall the drivebelt (V8 models only) Rotate the tensioner clockwise again and slip the belt onto the air conditioning compressor pulley (and make sure it is properly engaged with all of the other pulleys, too).
