This recipe is very easy to make.

2 cups white sugar
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup milk
½ cup butter
3 ½ cups quick cooking oats
1 cup flaked coconut
½ cup chopped peanuts
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • In a saucepan bring sugar, cocoa, milk and butter or margarine to a boil. Remove from heat.
  • Stir in oats, coconut, nuts and salt. Drop quickly from teaspoon on wax paper. Let cool.

1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup cocoa, Hershey's
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
1 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Steps:

  • In medium saucepan combine sugar, butter, milk and cocoa.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to full boil; remove from heat.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Immediately drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto wax paper.
  • Cool completely.
  • Store in cool, dry place.

These crunchy, chewy treats are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth! Try adding dried cherries or chopped bittersweet chocolate (depending on how many carbs you've had for dinner).

Yield 12 cookies

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 whole egg
1 egg white
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 cup sliced almonds, slightly crushed
3/4 cup shredded sweetened coconut

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the egg, egg white, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and the sugar is dissolved. Add the cocoa powder and whisk vigorously until the batter is smooth. Stir in the almonds and coconut until well combined. Use a mini ice cream scoop or spoon to drop 12 tablespoon-size mounds onto the baking sheet. Bake until they begin to brown, 10 to 12 minutes. Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes on the pan before transferring to a rack to cool completely.

This is a recipe I learned in my middle school home economics class. It has been a favorite of mine since then. It's super simple and very yummy (and very sweet).

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy your choice)
2 cups chow mein noodles

Steps:

  • In a large sauce pan mix sugar and syrup, bring to a boil, then turn off heat and stir in peanut butter until combined well.
  • Stir in chow mein noodles.
  • spoon portions of about 1 teaspoon (or size desired) on to wax paper to cool.
  • Enjoy!
