TWO INGREDIENT CHOCOLATE COKE CAKE

Two ingredient Chocolate Coke Cake image

If you mix coca-cola with chocolate cake mix you get a very fluffy and fudgy chocolate cake.

Provided by Kirbie

Categories     Dessert

Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 2

1 box chocolate cake mix
1 (12-oz) can coca cola

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Pour cake mix and can of coke into a large bowl and mix until there are no lumps in the batter. It may be easier to use a mixer because it took me a while to get out all the lumps with a hand whisk.
  • Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with parchment paper. Pour batter into pan. Bake for approximately 35 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. Cool before cutting. Cake crumbs do fall apart easily so cut carefully with a sharp knife. You can also bake into individual cupcake liners to make it less messy.

CHOCOLATE COLA CAKE

Adding cola to this chocolate cake makes it incredibly moist and impossible to stop at one slice!

Provided by James Martin

Categories     Cakes and baking

Yield Makes 12 slices

Number Of Ingredients 16

250g/9oz self-raising flour
300g/10½oz golden caster sugar
3 heaped tbsp cocoa
generous pinch bicarbonate of soda
250g/9oz butter
250ml/8½fl oz cola drink
125ml/4¼fl oz milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
100g/3½oz butter
2 tbsp cola drink
2 tbsp cocoa
200g/7oz icing sugar
caramel chocolate bar (king size)
splash of double cream
2 tbsp mini marshmallows (optional)

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas4.
  • Sift the flour, sugar, cocoa and bicarbonate of soda into a bowl. Melt the butter and cola drink gently in a pan then add to the dry ingredients, together with the milk, eggs and vanilla.
  • Mix gently but thoroughly and tip into a buttered, loose based cake tin (24cm/9½ in diameter). Bake for about 40 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean. Remove from the oven and leave for about 15 minutes while you make the topping. Put the butter, cola drink and cocoa into a pan and melt slowly. Bring the mixture to the boil and then pour onto the icing sugar. Beat until smooth and pour over the cake while still warm. Cool the cake in the tin.
  • Serve with the sauce, made by melting the chocolate bar gently in a pan with a splash of cream (you may want to add a little warm water to achieve a pouring consistency), stir in the marshmallows if using.

COCA-COLA CHOCOLATE CAKE

Coca-Cola Chocolate Cake image

I've had this recipe for probably 30 years. It's been awhile since I made it but it's nice and moist, wonderful flavor. Several already on this site but none with these exact ingredients. The icing is a bit thin if you follow directions, it's more like a glaze, so I think it needs maybe another cup of powdered sugar.

FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE

Flourless Chocolate Cake image

If there's one cake we think everyone actually needs, this is it. Rich, gooey and soul-satisfying, flourless chocolate cake is what you need to celebrate your best friend's birthday. It's the cake you need to make a bad day better, and when you need to impress a guest-it's just the thing. It will never be too fancy or too casual. After all, it's the little black dress of cakes. You can dress it up to suit your tastes or the occasion-how about raspberries and cream, or salted caramel and ice cream?-and you can never go wrong serving it up with a dusting of powdered sugar on top. Keep this cake recipe close-it'll never let you down.
