1 head cauliflower
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup KRAFT Real Mayo Mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. GREY POUPON Hearty Spicy Brown Mustard
1/2 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Steps:

  • Cut cauliflower into 8 to 12 large pieces, discarding core; place in microwaveable casserole dish. Add water; cover. Microwave on HIGH 10 min.; drain. Return cauliflower to casserole dish.
  • Mix mayo and mustard. Spread over cauliflower; sprinkle with cheese.
  • Microwave on HIGH 1 to 2 min. or until cheese is melted.

cooking spray (such as Pam®)
3 cups bite-sized cauliflower florets
1 egg
½ tablespoon all-purpose flour
½ cup milk
salt and ground black pepper to taste
2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 pinch ground paprika

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Place cauliflower in a microwave-safe bowl with 1/2 cup water. Microwave until tender-crisp, about 5 minutes. Drain and transfer to the prepared baking dish.
  • Whisk egg and flour together in a bowl. Add milk, salt, and pepper. Pour over cauliflower florets. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese and paprika on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted and cauliflower is soft, 30 to 40 minutes.

1 cauliflower head
1/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs
1/4 cup cheese (grated)
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Cut cauliflower into florets
  • Put in microwavable casserole bowl.
  • Cover and cook on high 8 to 10 minutes. Stir halfway through.
  • Remove from microwave.
  • Spray with Pam butter spray evenly
  • Sprinkle with breadcrumbs, grated cheese and salt
  • You may even want to sprinkle with some minced garlic.
  • Return bowl back to the microwave uncovered
  • Microwave for 1 - 2 minutes or until cheese begins to melt.

I adapted this recipe years ago from an old microwave cookbook. My children were young then and loved it. It is still one of their most requested recipes for family get togethers. The amounts can be adjusted to suit your taste. If you have a nice microwave safe dish, this makes a beautiful presentation straight to the table.

1 head cauliflower, washed and trimmed
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
1/4 cup prepared mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning (Morton Nature's Seasons seasoning blend)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup water (approximate)
seasoned bread crumbs (optional)

Steps:

  • Place cauliflower in a deep microwave safe dish that has a lid or can be covered with plastic wrap.
  • Mix together mayonnaise, mustard, Nature's Seasons, and 1 cup of cheese.
  • Spread over cauliflower, covering completely. Use it all.
  • Top with remaining cheese.
  • Cover and microwave on 50% power for 10 minutes.
  • At this point you can top it with seasoned bread crumbs, if you choose.
  • Then microwave on high for about 5 minutes.
  • Let sit in microwave, covered, for 5 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the lid or plastic wrap (hot steam will escape). And serve.

  • Microwave on high 8 - 9 minutes or till tender crisp. Use a fork to test doneness. If it feel too crisp, return to microwave for 1 - 2 minutes longer.
  • In the meantime, combine mayonnaise, onion, and mustard in small mixing bowl. Use a fork to blend into a smooth sauce.
  • Once the cauliflower has completed its first cook in the microwave, spoon mustard sauce on top of cauliflower. Use the back of the spoon to smooth the sauce evenly over the top of and sides of the cauliflower.
