CHEESE/ BROCCOLI/ HAM CHOWDER
I am not sure where I got this recipe but have changed it enough to call it my own regardless... My prior boss used to love this soup so much he nicknamed me the "Soup Nazi" (Seinfeld episode) and said I should quit my current job (huh?) and open a soup restauraunt. I have quite a few other awesome soup recipes too. I will post them as time permits. Note: I NEVER follow recipes but this one is perfect the way it is. I won't change it. This is the best I have ever had. Enjoy!

Stir in chicken broth, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pot. Stir in potato. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until potato is tender, about 10-15 minutes. Using a potato masher, mash potatoes until desired consistency is reached. Stir in ham, broccoli and heavy cream. Cover and simmer until broccoli is tender, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in cheese until smooth; season with salt and pepper, to taste. FARMHOUSE HAM CHOWDER
"This chowder is full flavored and so comforting," says Lisa Renshaw of Kansas City, Missouri. We couldn't agree more! Leftover ham and veggies add body, while Gouda cheese brings a special touch.

CHEESEBURGER BROCCOLI CHOWDER
I invented this soup accidentally! Actually, it came about when I was new to cooking, and didn't know that "chowder" was a kind of soup-so I made mashed potatoes to go with the dish I was making. We ended up dunking our mashed potatoes into the soup as "gravy"-and it was delicious!-Karen Davies, Wanipigow, Manitoba
