CHEDDAR PEAR PIE

It's amusing to see some folks puzzling over what's in the filling - they expect apples but love the subtle sweetness of the pears. -Cynthia LaBree, Elmer, New Jersey

Without a doubt, this is the best pie in my arsenal of recipes. It is a pear-filled pie topped with a crumble of brown sugar and Cheddar cheese.
