CAPTAIN CRUNCH PEANUT BUTTER PUPPY CHOW
Puppy Chow gets a peanut butter makeover with a childhood classic cereal!

Steps:
- Melt 1/2 cup peanut butter chips, milk chocolate chips, and butter together in a double broiler or in the microwave on 50% power until chips are melted and butter is fully incorporated.
- Stir in peanut butter.
- Place cereal in a large bowl and pour chocolate mixture over. Gently stir to coat all of the cereal. Once all coated add the powdered sugar and stir gently again to fully coat all the cereal. [i](You can also do this in a large plastic/paper bag.)[/i]
- Once cooled add in extra peanut butter chips and Serve!

I've looked through all the "puppy chow" recipes on Zaar and didn't find this one. It's a bit different and VERY delicious, and only 5 ingredients! Try it and tell me what you think.

Steps:
- Carefully combine first four ingredients in large bowl or roaster pan.
- Place white chocolate (cut into chunks) in microwaveable dish.
- Cook on high for 1 minute, stir, then again for 1 minute. Continue this until all the chocolate is melted.
- Pour over mixture and gently stir.
- Spread out on waxed paper.
- After it cools and hardens, break into pieces and store in covered, sealed containers.
- Preparation time includes microwaving time.

BUTTERSCOTCH PUPPY CHOW
This is just my regular Crispix, or similar type of cereal, puppy chow recipe made with butterscotch chips instead of chocolate chips; my SIL suggested it. We ate probably half the batch that evening. After making a bunch of recipes with butterscotch chips, I suggest that you use a good quality chip. I have had trouble melting some of the store brands, although Aldi's brand always seems to work well.

Steps:
- Place the powdered sugar into a 1 gallon resealable plastic bag.
- In a large microwave safe bowl melt the butterscotch chips for 1 minute.
- Stir and heat for 30 seconds longer or until melted when stirred.
- Stir in the peanut butter.
- Stir in the cereal and mix until evenly coated; I use a big spoonula for this. Pour the cereal mixture into the sugar filled bag and gently toss the mixture to coat it evenly.
- It says it needs to be stored in the refrigerator but I never have and mine has never stayed around longer than a day or two anyway. :-)
- I am often asked to bring the chocolate version of this to my sister's house, I think next time I'll take a batch of each and see how it goes.

PEOPLE PUPPY CHOW
My sister shared this recipe with me many years ago and my youngest son was known at his school for the best person to ask to bring a snack. There are several recipes posted that are similar but none are like this one.

Steps:
- In extra-large microwave safe bowl, place chocolate chips and butter.
- Microwave on medium for 3 minutes.
- Stir well to combine and add peanut butter and microwave on medium for 3 minutes.
- Stir well to combine and microwave on medium for 3 minutes.
- Stir in entire box of Crispix cereal and stir well to coat each piece.
- In large brown bag (grocery sack) place 1/2 of the powdered sugar that has been divided. Add coated cereal mixture and top with remaining 1/2 of original divided powdered sugar.
- Shake well to coat and add remaining powdered sugar as need until all pieces are broken apart and coated with powdered sugar.
- Store in air tight container for up to 1 week.
HUMAN PUPPY CHOW
This is the best recipe in the world!! It is great to have anytime but it also makes great christmas gifts.

- In a large sauce pan, melt together butter, peanut butter, and chocolate chips.
- Stir until all is evenly distributed and all is completely melted.
- Measure out chex into a large bowl.
- Pour chocolate mixture over chex and fold until all the chex are completely covered in the chocolate mixture.
- Put powdered sugar into large paper bag.
- Put chex into the bag with the sugar and shake until all chex are covered.
- Add more sugar as needed.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place crushed cereal crumbs in a large resealable plastic bag. Add chicken breasts to bag, one at a time. Seal bag and shake to coat. Place coated chicken in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
