Steps:
- Fry bacon until crisp. Remove from pan and drain on towel.
- Fry onion and hamburger in bacon fat until brown.
- Now place crumbled bacon, hamburger, onion and beans in a large casserole dish.
- Don't drain meat or liquid from beans. (I prefer to drain meat fats, but save the liquid from beans, you're option).
- Stir and add brown sugar, vinegar and ketcup.
- Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

With sliced hot dogs and several types of beans in the mixture, this hearty dish could be a meal in itself. It was very popular at my son's cowboy theme party. We turned our kitchen peninsula into a 'covered wagon' to serve the buffet.

- Combine all ingredients in a crokpot, stir to combine, set on low or slow cook option for 6-8 hours stirring occasionally (if you are able). When mixture has thickened and is hot and bubbly, it is ready to eat!
