BOURBON CIDER SOUR



Bourbon Cider Sour image

Add a little fall flavor into a basic whiskey sour. This bourbon apple cider takes smooth and smoky Jim Beam® Bourbon and mixes it with the crisp and tart tang of cold apple cider and orange juice. Whip it up in a flash and enjoy alongside a delicious dinner.

2 parts Jim Beam® Bourbon
3 parts cold Apple Cider
1 1/2 parts Orange Juice
3/4 part Simple Syrup
Apple Slices

Steps:

  • Combine the bourbon, apple cider, orange juice, and simple syrup. Stir.
  • Serve with an apple slice.

3/4 cup bourbon
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (3 lemons)
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (4 limes)
3/4 cup sugar syrup (see Cook's Note)
4 maraschino cherries

Steps:

  • Combine the bourbon, lemon juice, lime juice, and syrup. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice, and fill two-thirds full with the cocktail mixture. Shake for 30 seconds and pour into martini glasses. Add a maraschino cherry and serve ice cold.

1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
8 maraschino cherries
8 slices orange
6 ounces bourbon
Juice of 3 lemons

Steps:

  • Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and let the simple syrup cool to room temperature.
  • Muddle half of the maraschino cherries and orange slices with the simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add the bourbon and lemon juice. Fill the shaker halfway with ice and shake well. Strain into four rocks glasses filled with ice. Garnish each glass with a maraschino and an orange slice.
