Steps:
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Sift together flours, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Using your fingers, rub cubes of cold butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add buttermilk and stir until moistened, then knead a few times, just enough to make the dough come together.
- Drop about 1/4 cup dough onto parchment paper and flatten slightly, or you may choose to roll about half inch thick and cut them, placing them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 12 minutes, or until tops are golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

- Preheat oven to 375°F In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth, then blend in water and vanilla. Beat eggs and add to butter mixture. Stir flour mixture into the egg and butter mixture. Add cereal and all remaining ingredients. Mix well.
- Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes. When done, edges should be lightly brown.

My personal favorite. Yum! They make these at Bob's Red Mill store here in Oregon. We are lucky enough to have breakfast there pretty often.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Mix unbleached white flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, evaporated cane juice, sea salt, and baking soda thoroughly.
- Add butter and mix until evenly distributed. Add buttermilk and evenly mix until dough forms.
- Roll dough out on a floured surface, sprinkle on flaxseed meal, and cut with a 2½-inch cutter.
- Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake in oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Makes 2 dozen biscuits.
