A simple twist on that party classic - blood orange gives it a fantastic colour and deeper flavour

60ml blood orange juice, fresh or from a carton (cold)
Prosecco, top up
1 blood orange, zest of

Steps:

  • Pour the blood orange juice into a small tumbler.
  • Top up with chilled Prosecco.
  • Peel 1 strip of peel from the orange using a speed-peeler, then twist into a curl.
  • Garnish with the orange peel and serve.

½ cup pink sanding sugar, or as needed
1 (750 milliliter) bottle brut Champagne
½ cup pineapple juice
½ cup blood orange juice
2 fluid ounces orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier®)

Steps:

  • Dip the rims of 4 champagne flutes in water. Dip into sanding sugar to coat the rims.
  • Divide Champagne among the flutes. Pour 2 tablespoons pineapple juice and 2 tablespoons blood orange juice into each. Top mimosas with orange liqueur.

1 bottle Prosecco
1 1/2 cups fresh blood orange juice
1 tablespoon super-fine granulated sugar
2 tablespoons orange liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier)

Steps:

  • Chill bottle of Prosecco. Combine fresh blood orange juice with sugar and orange liqueur in a large measuring cup and stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate until chilled. To serve, pour into the bottom of Champagne glasses and slowly top-off with ice-cold Prosecco.

3 cups fresh blood-orange juice (from about 10 oranges)
1/3 cup Grand Marnier or other orange-flavored liqueur
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon sugar
1 (750-ml) bottle Prosecco, chilled well

Steps:

  • Stir together juice, liqueur, and sugar in a 2-quart pitcher until sugar is dissolved. Chill until cold, about 1 hour. Slowly pour in Prosecco, stirring to combine. Serve immediately.
