I often prepare a double recipe of these tangy bbq pork chops, then freeze half to keep on hand. They're so easy and taste so fresh, family and friends never guess this quick entree was frozen! -Susan Holderman, Fostoria, Ohio

2 tablespoons canola oil
8 boneless pork loin chops (3/4 inch thick and 8 ounces each)
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped sweet onion
1/2 cup each ketchup, barbecue sauce, French salad dressing and honey

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. In batches, brown pork chops 2-3 minutes on each side. Return all to pan., In a small bowl, mix remaining ingredients; pour over chops. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 4-5 minutes or until a thermometer reads 145°. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Freeze option: Place pork chops in freezer containers; top with sauce. Cool and freeze. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through in a covered saucepan, gently stirring sauce and adding a little water if necessary.

2 cups soy sauce
1 cup water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon dark molasses
6 pork chops (1 to 1-1/2 inches thick)
SAUCE:
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, combine the soy sauce, water, brown sugar and molasses; bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Pour into a shallow glass container or large resealable plastic bag; add pork chops and turn to coat. Cover or seal and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Drain, discarding marinade; place chops in a shallow ungreased baking pan. Cover and bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring until smooth. Brush over both sides of the chops. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes longer or until pork is no longer pink and glaze is lightly browned.

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar

1/3 cup hot water

Steps:

  • Place chops, overlapping slightly if necessary, in a large cast-iron or other ovenproof skillet. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over meat. Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 40 minutes, turning chops halfway through cooking.

1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon celery seed
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
⅓ cup distilled white vinegar
1 cup water
1 bay leaf

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • In a skillet, heat a small amount of oil and brown both sides of the pork chops.
  • In a bowl combine ketchup, salt, celery seed, nutmeg, vinegar, water, and bay leaf; Pour over chops.

6 center-cut loin pork chops, 3/4 to 1-inch thick
1 medium onion (halved and thinly sliced)
For the Sauce:
1/4 cup vinegar
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350 F. Line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan with aluminum foil.
  • Arrange the pork chops in a single layer in the foil-lined pan and scatter the onion slices over the chops.

4 boneless pork loin chops (1/2 inch thick)
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 tablespoon butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup water

1 cup honey barbecue sauce

2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon cold water

Steps:

  • Sprinkle pork chops with seasoned salt. In a large skillet, brown chops on both sides in butter over medium-high heat. Remove chops. , In the drippings, saute onion until golden brown. 4 pork boneless loin chops, 1 inch thick (about 3/4 pound), trimmed of fat
4 slices onion
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
3/4 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon water
2 teaspoons cornstarch

Steps:

  • Place pork chops in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker. Top each chop with onion slice and sprinkle with garlic. Pour barbecue sauce over chops.
  • Cover and cook on low heat setting 5 to 6 hours.
  • About 5 minutes before serving, remove pork from cooker; place on serving platter and cover to keep warm.
  • Mix water and cornstarch in 2-cup glass measuring cup or small microwavable bowl until smooth. Pour 1 cup of the juices from cooker into cornstarch mixture; mix well.
