CHEESECAKE FACTORY® BANANA CHEESECAKE WITH HOMEMADE WHIPPED CREAM

Cheesecake Factory® Banana Cheesecake with Homemade Whipped Cream image

My family and I went to the Cheesecake Factory® in Nashville and we got the best cheesecake I had ever had. I came home and was determined to figure the recipe out. I tried it out one weekend and it tasted almost identical of the original. Garnish with more fresh banana slices.

PERFECT POT STICKERS

Perfect Pot Stickers image

Homemade pot stickers are so versatile--you can fill them with anything you want and as full as you want. And the play between the crispy, crusty bottom, and the tender parts, makes for a truly unique dumpling. These are filled with ground pork, green onions, ginger, and cabbage.

Provided by Chef John

Categories     Appetizers and Snacks     Wraps and Rolls

Time 1h

Yield 6

Number Of Ingredients 16

1 pound ground pork
4 cloves minced garlic
½ cup finely chopped green onions
3 tablespoons very finely minced fresh ginger
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 ½ cups finely chopped green cabbage
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup hot water, about 130 -150 F (55-65 C)
¼ cup seasoned rice vinegar
¼ cup soy sauce
6 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying, or as needed - divided
8 tablespoons water for steaming, divided

Steps:

  • Place ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, 2 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon soy sauce, sesame oil, and cayenne in a mixing bowl. Top with chopped green cabbage. Mix with fork until thoroughly combined. Tamp down lightly; cover with plastic. Refrigerate until chilled, about an hour.
  • Place flour and kosher salt in a mixing bowl. Slowly pour in hot water. Stir with a wooden spoon until mixture forms a shaggy dough. Flour your hands and transfer dough to a work surface. Knead dough until it becomes smooth and elastic. If dough seems too sticky, sprinkle with a bit more flour, about 3 to 5 minutes. Wrap dough ball in plastic, and let it rest about 30 minutes.
  • When dough has rested, divide into 4 equal pieces. Cover 3 pieces with a dish cloth while you work the first piece. Roll into a small log about the thickness of a thumb, about 3/4 inch. Divide each log into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a thin 3 1/2-inch circle on a lightly floured surface to form the pot sticker wrappers. Repeat with the remaining dough pieces.
  • Lightly moisten the edges of a wrapper with your wet finger. Place a small scoop of the ground pork mixture onto the center of a wrapper. Fold up the 2 sides and pinch together in the center. Pinch together the remaining edges, forming "pleats" along one side. Tap the pot sticker on the work surface to slightly flatten the bottom; form a slight curve in it so it stands upright in the pan. Transfer to a well-floured plate. Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
  • Mix together seasoned rice vinegar and soy sauce in a small mixing bowl for the dipping sauce.
  • Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Place about 6 or 7 pot stickers in the hot oil, flat side down. Cook until bottoms are golden brown, about 2 minutes. Drizzle in water and quickly cover the pan; steam for 3 minutes. Uncover; reduce heat to medium. Continue cooking until water evaporates and bottoms are browned and crunchy, 1 or 2 minutes. Transfer to a warm serving dish. Repeat with remaining pot stickers. Serve with dipping sauce.

BANANA CHEESECAKE WITH BANANA CREAM PIE TOPPING

Banana Cheesecake with Banana Cream Pie Topping image

This simple recipe is a combination of banana cheesecake and banana cream pie all rolled into one dessert! It uses an Oreo®-cookie crust instead of the traditional graham cracker crust, adding a bit of a chocolate accent. Plus, it uses fat-free cream cheese, but proves to taste rich and creamy for a banana-y treat! Garnish with whipped cream and sliced bananas, if desired.

BANANA CHEESECAKE POT STICKERS RECIPE - (4.3/5)

Banana Cheesecake Pot Stickers Recipe - (4.3/5) image

Provided by DreiFromBK

Number Of Ingredients 6

These dessert potstickers feature a sweet filling that you can customize to your taste.
1 banana
2.3 ounces cream cheese
10 large potsticker wrappers (or 20 small ones)
1 tablespoon butter
1/3 cup water

Steps:

  • Peel the banana and halve lengthwise. Cut the halves into 1/4-inch thick slices diagonally. Cut the cream cheese into pieces that are roughly the same size. Prepare a small bowl of water. To fold the potstickers, put a wrapper in the palm of your left hand (assuming you're right handed). Add equal amounts of banana and cream cheese on one half of the wrapper, being sure to leave enough room around the edges to seal the wrapper shut. Wet the rim of the wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper in half over the filling and add pleats with your right hand as you seal the wrapper shut. To fry the potstickers, heat a large flat bottomed pan over medium-high heat. Add the butter and swirl to coat the pan. Lay the potstickers flat in the pan and then with a lid ready, add 1/3 cup water shutting the lid immediately. Turn down the heat to medium and then steam for 4 minutes, or until the water has evaporated. Remove the lid and turn the heat back up to medium-high. Fry the potstickers until crisp and golden brown on the bottom. Serve crisp-side up dusted with powdered sugar.

BAKED BANANA CHEESECAKE

Baked banana cheesecake image

Forget banana bread, use up over-ripe fruit in this low-sugar cheesecake with a chocolate and nut base and a ricotta and yogurt topping

Provided by Sara Buenfeld

Categories     Afternoon tea, Dessert, Treat

Time 50m

Number Of Ingredients 13

50g butter
75g oatcakes , finely crushed
50g cream crackers
1 tbsp cocoa , plus extra for dusting
1 tbsp salted peanuts , very finely chopped, plus 1 tbsp to scatter over (optional)
2 small ripe bananas
juice 1 lemon
2 x 250g tubs ricotta
200g tub Greek yogurt
4 large eggs
½ tsp sugar-free vanilla extract
2 tbsp cornflour
200ml double cream

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4 and lightly oil a non-stick loose-based 22cm cake tin. Melt the butter in a pan and stir in the oatcakes, crackers, cocoa and the chopped peanuts until well coated. Press into the base of the tin to make a firm layer, then bake for 10 mins. Remove from the oven and turn up the heat to 240C/220C fan/gas 9.
  • To make the topping, mash the bananas with the lemon juice in a large bowl, then beat in the ricotta, yogurt, eggs, vanilla and cornflour until everything is very well mixed. Pour onto the biscuit base and bake for 10 mins, then turn the oven right down to 110C/90C fan/gas 1/4 and cook for 25 mins more. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside to cool. When cold, chill for 3-4 hrs. (Cooling the cheesecake this way should prevent it from cracking.)
  • To serve, remove the cheesecake from the tin and slide onto a plate. Whip the cream until it just holds its shape, then smooth over the top of the cheesecake, lightly dust with cocoa and scatter over the peanuts.
