Dirty Vodka Martini image

Classic Dirty Vodka Martini is perfectly done, shaken and served up with stuffed olives.

Number Of Ingredients 5

6 ounces of good Vodka, we use Grey Goose
1/2 ounce dry Vermouth
1 ounce green olive juice (brine)
2-3 large stuffed green olives
ice

Steps:

  • Add ice cubes and cold water to a martini glass to chill glass.
  • Add vodka, vermouth and olive juice into a martini shaker, add ice and shake to chill.
  • Drain water from martini glass and strain martini from shaker into the glass.
  • Add olives and serve.
  • Also fabulous with bleu cheese stuffed olives!

2 large green olives, pitted
1 teaspoon good-quality blue cheese, such as Roquefort
1 teaspoon dry vermouth
3 ounces vodka (just over 1/3 cup)

Steps:

  • Stuff the olives with the blue cheese.
  • Add the vermouth to a martini glass and swirl to coat the glass. Freeze the glass until chilled, about 10 minutes.
  • When ready to serve, add the vodka to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake well. Strain the vodka into the prepared martini glass and garnish with the olives.

Splash sweet vermouth
4 pitted jumbo green olives
2 ounces blue cheese

Steps:

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice. Add the vodka, olive brine and vermouth. Shake what your mama gave you. Pour into two chilled martini glasses.
  • Stuff each olive with a small piece of blue cheese. Thread the stuffed olives onto two toothpicks and place in the martini glasses.

Crumbled blue cheese, such as Danablu, Gorgonzola, Roquefort, or Stilton, room temperature
3 ounces Grey Goose Vodka
2 sprays of vermouth

Steps:

  • Fill martini glasses with ice water; set aside. Stuff each olive with cheese. Skewer 2 or 3 olives onto cocktail picks; set aside.
  • Fill a martini shaker halfway with ice. Add 3 ounces vodka to shaker. Shake 30 times.
  • Dump ice water out of glasses, and spray glasses with vermouth. Fill with chilled vodka. Garnish with olives. Serve immediately.

1 (8 ounce) package crumbled blue cheese
1 teaspoon dry vermouth (rough estimate)
1 ounce vodka
2 Spanish olives (Queen sized with juice reserved)
1/2 cup ice

Steps:

  • Remove pimentos from olives. Stuff the olives with the blue cheese. Soak the olives in some vermouth with a splash of the olive juice while you prepare the drink.
  • Pour ice into shaker.
  • Pour a dash ofthe vermouth over the ice.
  • Briskly shake in shaker for about 10 seconds then discard vermouth.
  • Pour the vodka into the shaker with about a spoonful of olive juice (more/less to taste).
  • With brisk, firm shakes, shake the shaker for about 15 outward shakes.
  • Pour into chilled martini glasses, add olives, and Enjoy!
  • *Martini will have a cloudy appearance due to olive juice and being cold.
