4 beef tenderloin steaks (6 ounces each)
1 teaspoon steak seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1/2 cup reduced-sodium beef broth
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tablespoon steak sauce
1 teaspoon garlic salt with parsley
1 teaspoon minced chives

Steps:

  • Sprinkle steaks with steak seasoning. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Add steaks; cook until meat reaches desired doneness, 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove steaks from pan., Add mushrooms to skillet; cook and stir over medium-high heat until tender. Add broth, stirring to loosen browned bits from pan. Stir in cream, steak sauce and garlic salt. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until sauce is slightly thickened, 1-2 minutes., Return steaks to pan and turn to coat; heat through. Stir in chives.

A simple and flavorful recipe for grilled Teres Major Steak in an Asian beef marinade.

2 lbs Teres Major Steak (you can use 1-3 lbs of steak for this marinade recipe)
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp brown sugar
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp fresh ginger (crushed or finely minced)
2 tbsp green onion (finely chopped)

Steps:

  • In a medium-size bowl, combine the rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, garlic, red pepper flakes, ginger, and green onion. Whisk until mixed.
  • Pour the marinade into a sealable bag with the Teres Major Steak and squeeze out all of the excess air.
  • Marinate the beef for 2-4 hours in the refrigerator.
  • Remove the steaks from the refrigerator, shake off any excess marinade, and place them onto a clean plate.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high and cook 4-5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches your desired level of doneness. Allow the steak tips to rest for a few minutes before serving.

1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium green pepper, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup chicken stock
1 can (20 ounces) pineapple tidbits, drained
1 cup honey barbecue sauce
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 finely chopped chipotle peppers plus 2 teaspoons adobo sauce
2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
Hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • Sprinkle pork with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add pork; cook until browned, 4-6 minutes. Remove., In same skillet, cook onion and pepper until softened, 2-4 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute. Return pork to pan; stir in chicken stock. Cook, covered, until pork is tender, about 5 minutes., Stir in next 5 ingredients; simmer, uncovered, until sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes. Serve with rice.

1 garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons butter, divided
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
