This Creamed Horseradish Dill Sauce Recipe is a copycat version of the Tiger Dill Sauce served at Outback Steakhouse restaurants.

1/2 cup horseradish (fresh grated)
1/2 cup cream (heavy: 36 to 40% milk fat)
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dill

Steps:

  • Place 1/2 cup fresh grated horseradish , 1/2 cup heavy cream, and 1/8 teaspoon salt into the bowl of a small food processor fitted with the metal blade. Pulse until thickened to the consistency of stiff whipped cream. (Do not over-beat or you will end up with butter.)
  • Scrape into a small bowl and fold in 1 teaspoon dill weed . Refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight to let the flavors meld.
  • Serve with Garlic Herb-Crusted Prime Rib Roast

1/2 cup good mayonnaise, such as Hellmann's
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup plain yogurt, such as Stonyfield
2 tablespoons cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup chopped scallions, white and green parts (4 scallions)
1/2 cup minced fresh dill
1/4 cup minced fresh flat-leaf parsley
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup seeded, grated hothouse cucumber

Steps:

  • Place the mayonnaise, sour cream, yogurt, cream cheese, scallions, dill, parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, 2 teaspoons salt, and 1 teaspoon pepper in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the steel blade. Puree for a few seconds, until well mixed. Add the cucumber and puree for another few seconds, until combined. Pour into a container and refrigerate for a few hours to allow the flavors to develop.

  • 1. For both recipes...mix all ingredient together and refrigerate for several hours or overnight to allow flavors to come together.
  • 2. Serve with meat or veggies...very tasty. You can also adjust the ingredients to suit your taste. I like mine a bit on the hot side.
