ULTIMATE PIZZA SAUCE
This pizza sauce recipe was given to me as a wedding present, written on the inside cover of a pizza cookbook. It is thick, saucy, spicy and delicious. I'll never use anything else on my homemade pizzas. I like to double or triple it and put it in Ziploc bags in my freezer.

SWEET SPAGHETTI SAUCE
This recipe is from my MIL. My husband loves it and it's the only spaghetti sauce he'll eat. Took me a little getting used cause it's sweet, but now it's a favorite. Makes a REALLY good pizza sauce too!!

Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in a crock pot. Cook on Low for 6 hours, or can be done on High for 3. Stir occasionally. Will turn a darker shade of red, and have a nice sweet flavor and aroma. Can be done on the stove top, but needs more constant attention.
- I will throw it in the morning on low, and leave it until dinner time (my crock pot keeps things warm until you shut it off) and it tastes wonderfully!
- This sauce freezes beautifully, so does the leftover puree. Can be frozen for up to 4-6 months. Can be reheated in the microwave or however you would like.

- In a large skillet, sauté the onion on a low heat for 10 minutes. Add the coconut sugar and chopped tomatoes, and continue to cook until almost caramelized. You may add more oil than called for, or (my preference) add about 2/3 cups water to keep the onions from sticking to the bottom and drying out.
- Add spices, cover, and continue to simmer until it reaches your desired consistency (approximately 10 minutes). Serve it immediately over your favorite whole wheat, raw zucchini noodles, or (my favorite) rice pasta!
