EASY APPLE COLESLAW

Easy Apple Coleslaw image

This easy apple coleslaw recipe is one of my all-time favourite side dishes. It's tangy, crispy, and much lighter than shop-bought coleslaw. The mustard dressing elevates it to the next level of deliciousness and it pairs well with so many different dishes.

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 14

½ White Cabbage (shredded)
½ Red Cabbage (shredded)
1 Carrot (grated)
1 Red Onion (finely sliced)

1 tbsp Flat Leaf Parsley (chopped)
75 g Mayonnaise
1 tsp Dijon Mustard
1 tbsp Cider Vinegar

½ cup slivered almonds
¾ cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon celery seeds

  • Make the dressing by whisking all the dressing ingredients in a bowl. Taste and adjust the ingredients as needed.

SWEET 'N' CREAMY COLESLAW

Sweet 'n' Creamy Coleslaw image

My grandmother taught me how to make the dressing for this coleslaw when I was very young. It's not too tart and not too sweet. Sometimes I make 8 gallon jars a week at the restaurant where I work! It gets lots of compliments on my sweet coleslaw recipe. -Denise Elder, Hanover, Ontario

I adapted this from a recipe I found on here. I wanted to use up some apples and an open bag of leftover coleslaw. This recipe is simply delicious with some nice clean fall flavors. This is nothing like the creamy wet coleslaw you would get at a deli. Its light, crisp, and crunchy.

SWEET, CREAMY COLESLAW

I never liked coleslaw until I tried my husband's great aunt's. Now I can't get enough of it! Great with BBQ pork sandwiches. You can also use a bag of slaw mix instead of shredding the cabbage and carrots yourself.
