SUPER-DUPER CHOCOLATE KISSES
I found this recipe on Better Homes & Gardens. To store the remaining cookies, layer them between waxed paper in an airtight container. They can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
- Combine cookie dough and cocoa powder in a large ziplock plastic bag.
- Seal bag and knead the dough.
- Remove the dough from the bag.
- Put sprinkles in a small bowl and milk in another small bowl.
- Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
- Dip balls into milk to moisten and then roll in sprinkles to cover.
- Place balls 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
- Bake for about 8 minutes or until edges are firm.
- Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center.
- Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool.

- 1. Mix flour,baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Beat butter and shortening, both sugars, and vanilla in large bowl. Add one egg at a time. Make sure to beat well before adding flour mixture. Stir in chip mix made up of all chips. Drop on ungreased baking sheet into rounded tablespoon balls two inches apart. Bake at 350 for 11 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 2 minutes. Move to wire racks. Makes 4 1/2 dozen.

- In a large bowl using a hand-held mixer or stand mixer with paddle attachment, beat the butter, brown sugar, and sugar together on medium speed until combined and creamy, about 2 minutes. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt. Add into the wet ingredients, then beat on low speed until combined. The cookie dough will be slightly thick. On low speed, beat the chocolate chips. Cover dough tightly with aluminum foil or plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour and up to 2 days. Chilling is mandatory for this cookie dough.
- Remove cookie dough from the refrigerator and allow to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. (Always recommended for cookies.) Set aside.
- Once chilled, the dough will be slightly crumbly, but will come together when you work the dough with your hands. Roll balls of dough, about 1.5 Tablespoons of dough each, into balls.

- For bars, lightly grease a 9" x 13" pan., In a large mixing bowl, combine the oil, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, spices, salt, vanilla, and egg, beating until smooth., Add the boiled cider or syrup., Stir in the carrots, cranberries, chips, and nuts, then the flour, beating gently until well combined., Add the oats last, making sure they're thoroughly distributed throughout the bowl., To make cookies: Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared sheets, leaving about 1 1/2" between them., Bake the cookies until they're just barely set on top — about 12 minutes., Remove them from the oven, and cool them on the baking sheets; they'll be very soft, so don't try to transfer them to a rack., To make bars: Press the dough into the prepared 9" x 13" pan., Bake the bars for 25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean., Remove the bars from the oven, and press them down gently but firmly in the pan; this will make them slightly chewier.
- Serve them right out of the pan., Once cooled and cut, store in a covered container, with waxed paper or parchment between the layers to keep cookies or bars from sticking to one another.
