Someone brought this salad to a pot luck dinner and I had to have the recipe. I have made it many, many times since then and I have been asked for the recipe every time I bring it somewhere. It is also a great way to get kids to eat spinach!

Ingredients

2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
½ cup white sugar
½ cup olive oil
¼ cup distilled white vinegar
¼ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon minced onion
10 ounces fresh spinach - rinsed, dried and torn into bite-size pieces
1 quart strawberries - cleaned, hulled and sliced
¼ cup almonds, blanched and slivered

Steps:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Cover, and chill for one hour.
In a large bowl, combine the spinach, strawberries and almonds. Pour dressing over salad, and toss. Refrigerate 10 to 15 minutes before serving.

1 (16 ounce) package fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
1 (10 ounce) package fresh spinach
1 (8 ounce) package feta cheese, cut into squares
½ cup olive oil
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup white balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
¼ teaspoon paprika

Steps:

Toss strawberries, spinach, and feta cheese together in a large bowl.
Whisk olive oil, brown sugar, white balsamic vinegar, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and paprika together in a bowl; drizzle over salad and toss to coat.

1/3 c. extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
3 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp. poppy seeds
2 tsp. dijon mustard
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
2 5-oz. containers baby spinach
1 lb. strawberries, halved or sliced
2 oranges, peeled and sliced
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans, toasted
4 oz. goat cheese, crumbled

Steps:

For the dressing: In a small jar, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, honey, vinegar, poppy seeds, mustard, salt, and pepper. Seal the jar; shake vigorously to combine. Set aside.
For the salad: Just before serving, add the spinach to a large bowl or platter; top with half of the strawberries and orange slices. Drizzle with half of the dressing; gently toss to coat. Top the salad with the remaining berries, orange slices, pecans, and goat cheese. Drizzle with your desired amount of the remaining dressing, and serve the remainder on the side, if you like.

1 (10 ounce) bag romaine lettuce, torn
½ cup balsamic vinaigrette
8 large strawberries, sliced
2 pears - peeled, cored and sliced
1 (6 ounce) container crumbled feta
3 tablespoons balsamic vinaigrette

Steps:

Place the walnuts in a small skillet over medium-high heat; toast the nuts while stirring constantly for 4 to 5 minutes; set aside to cool completely.
Toss together the spinach and romaine lettuce in a large mixing bowl, and toss with 1/2 cup of balsamic vinaigrette. Arrange the strawberries, pears, feta cheese, and walnuts over the top of the salad. Dress the salad with another 3 tablespoons vinaigrette to serve.

1-1/2 pounds fresh spinach
1/3 cup canola oil
1/3 cup red wine vinegar

Steps:
