Our Spicy Crab Delights are delightful because they're delicious! And also because reduced fat mayo helps makes them a Healthy Living recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 can (6-1/2 oz.) crabmeat, well drained, flaked
1/4 cup KRAFT Mayo with Olive Oil Reduced Fat Mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
8 miniature whole wheat pita breads, cut crosswise in half
16 small fresh dill sprigs

Steps:

  • Mix crabmeat, mayonnaise, cheese and pepper sauce.
  • Spoon into pita pockets.
  • Top with dill.

All the great taste of Buffalo wings in a convenient and tasty seafood package. Pair with your favorite dipping item and get ready to impress your friends with this delicious variation on an American classic.

Number Of Ingredients 8

One 8 ounce Package Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup Sour Cream
1/3 cup Crumbled Blue Cheese
1/3 cup Buffalo Sauce
One 8 ounce package Louis Kemp Crab Delights Flake Style, coarsely chopped
Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
12 Small Celery Leaves, Chopped
Baguette slices, crackers or celery sticks

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, blue cheese and hot sauce. Fold in the Crab Delights and season with salt and pepper.
  • Transfer to a 7x11-inch baking dish and bake until heated through, about 20-25 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with celery leaves and serve with baguette slices or crackers.

Have these as appetizers or a light lunch. Using English muffins and canned crab meat. You can store in freezer until ready to use, then cook them. This is also good with Clam Chowder for lunch or dinner. Enjoy!

1 (6 ounce) can crab meat, drained
5 ounces sharp processed cheese spread
¼ cup butter, softened
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 pinch garlic salt
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
6 English muffins, split in half

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine crabmeat, cheese spread, butter or margarine, mayonnaise, garlic salt, and parsley. Mix well, and spread on English muffins. Cut the muffins into quarters and arrange them on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Broil the muffins for the last minute to get them toasted.

These are wonderful! These are perfect for the coming holidays! We made them with fresh ingredients (if possible) and low-fat ingredients. Found this on Food and Family, Holiday 2007 edition. I had these for the "Cooking Club" and this way the resident's could prepare and then eat their "sandwichito" pitas. Of course, they had help - there were two teachers and myself. These we prepared for the other residents as well. Diet Exchange: 1/2 Starch, 1 Meat (VL), 1/2 Fat

6 1/2 ounces fresh crabmeat, picked clean or 6 1/2 ounces canned crabmeat, drained
1/4 cup light mayonnaise
1 tablespoon freshly grated parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (of course we didn't use any)
8 mini whole wheat pita bread, cut crosswise in half
dill sprigs, for garnish

Steps:

  • Mix crabmeat, mayo, Parmesan cheese and pepper sauce.
  • Fill pita bread pockets evenly with crab mixture.
  • Top each with dill sprig.
  • **Prepare as directed, substituting 16 thawed frozen miniature phyllo shells for the 8 halved miniature pita rounds.

1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley or cilantro
3 to 4 teaspoons Sriracha chili sauce
1 tablespoon lime juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 cups lump crabmeat (about 10 ounces)
Sliced multigrain bread, optional
Lime wedges, optional

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix the first six ingredients; gently stir in crab. If desired, spread over bread. Serve with lime wedges if desired.
