This sauce is great on just about anything. It can be used as a dressing, dipping sauce, and it can also be used for cheeseburgers.

2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
1 tablespoon white sugar

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, mustard and sugar until well blended. I like to stir 50 times clockwise, and 50 times counter clockwise to get the sauce nice and thick.

This is my Mom's spaghetti recipe that has been my favorite since the age of three! Great for dinner parties! Serve over spaghetti and with a salad and garlic bread.

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped
2 pounds ground beef
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
4 tablespoons dried oregano
4 tablespoons dried basil leaves
3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
2 (4.5 ounce) cans mushrooms, drained
2 bay leaves
2 tablespoons salt

Steps:

  • In a large pot heat olive oil. Add onions and simmer on medium heat until semi soft; stir in garlic. Be careful not to burn. Add ground beef and cook until all pink is gone; drain.
  • In pot with drained beef, gently stir in tomato paste and tomato sauce. Mix in oregano, basil, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, red pepper flakes, mushrooms, bay leaves and salt; bring to a boil. Turn heat down to low and simmer for about 2 hours.

SOUTHERN PEPPER SAUCE



Southern Pepper Sauce image

Pepper Sauce is a Southern Condiment (Not to be confused with Hot Sauce) that is primarily used on Greens, Southern Peas and Cornbread and just about anything you want to add a bit of spice. I like to have some red and some green peppers so the bottle looks better on the table but that is optional. Wear plastic gloves when handling peppers. You can also add a teaspoon of Olive Oil if you like some extra heat.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 cup white vinegar or 1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
30 small Thai red chili peppers, 2-3-inch (or similar)

Steps:

  • Tightly pack a clean decorative Glass Jar (Empty Malt or Red Wine Vinegar Jars work great) with the peppers.
  • Bring vinegar, salt and sugar to a boil over medium heat, stirring until salt and sugar are dissolved (about 3 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and let stand for about 5 minutes.
  • Pour hot vinegar mixture over the peppers.
  • Leave about 1 inch from the top of the jar.
  • If it starts getting low you can add a bit more of the Vinegar mixture.
