CHERRY COBBLER RECIPE WITH PIE FILLING
Cherry Cobbler with canned pie filling is about the easiest cobbler recipe you can make! No fresh cherries, no extra needed - simple dough for a covered cherry mixture that bakes up in 40 minutes and is not only holiday friendly but a family favorite dessert recipe. Quite like a dump cake recipe, this cobbler recipe is even easier with canned filling and buttery flour. No biscuit dough or complicated roll outs needed, this cherry cobbler can use any flavor pie filling to create the custom cobbler flavors you want with the fruit you love to eat. Serve canned cherry cobbler warm over vanilla ice cream and add a bit of Cool Whip Topping. The light golden brown cake crust has about a 10 minute assembly time and comes together ridiculously easy. Considered an upside down cobbler, this dessert recipe helps you enjoy a homemade dessert when you really do not even feel like baking.

SO-EASY CHERRY COBBLER
I discovered this recipe on the box of a Sara Lee pound cake. It is extremely simple to prepare, but has great flavor and presentation. We love it served with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping. Blueberry pie filling, or a combination of fresh blueberries, raspberries, sliced peaches or pitted cherries (to make 2 cups) combined with 3/4 cup apricot jam could be substituted for the cherry pie filling for variations on the cobbler.

- Cook the cherry filling: Wash and pit your cherries. This process is much faster and easier with a cherry pitter. Slice them in half and add them to a saucepan with the rest of the filling ingredients. Cook them over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Make the batter: Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, egg, and milk in a bowl until smooth. Melt the butter in the skillet, remove from heat, then pour the batter in.
- Bake: Spoon the cherry mixture in an even layer over the batter and turn the oven down to 350F. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
