SLUSHY BLENDED MARGARITA RECIPE - (4.6/5)

Slushy Blended Margarita Recipe - (4.6/5) image

Provided by á-174535

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
2 ounces simple syrup
2 ounces 100 percent agave tequila
1 ounce good-quality orange liqueur, such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier
3/4 cup ice

Steps:

  • Combine lime juice, simple syrup, tequila, and orange liqueur in a blender and top with ice. Blend on high until ice is broken up. Serve immediately. Note: What to buy: Get the best-quality 100 percent agave tequila you can afford; it'll taste better, and you won't be as regretful the day after. Also, try to use Cointreau or Grand Marnier instead of Triple Sec-they're not as sugary and have a truer orange flavor.

FROZEN MARGARITA SLUSH

Frozen Margarita Slush image

I made this up after seeing an episode of Rachael Ray's 30 Minute Meals where she made something similar. I've used Ben & Jerry's Strawberry Kiwi Swirl sorbet in place of the lime sorbet so feel free to substitute your favorite fruity flavor! Goes down fast and smooth so be careful!

Categories     Beverages

Time 5m

Yield 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1/2 cup lemon sorbet
1 cup lime sorbet
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons tequila
2 teaspoons triple sec (or other orange liqueur)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and process or mix by hand in a small bowl (easier for a single serving).
  • Serve immediately.
  • *Note: If sorbet is too hard straight out of the freezer to mix by hand, microwaving it for 8-10 seconds softens it enough to mix easily. No need to soften if using a blender to mix.
