HOW TO BUILD A DIY GARAGE DOOR SCREEN IN 6 SIMPLE STEPS - ANGI
From angi.com

- Take Doorway Measurements. With a tape measure, gather the dimensions of the doorway space you're trying to cover with a screen. You'll need the length and width, along with any obstacles that may change your measurements.
- Gather Materials and Pre-Cut Your Screen. With a box cutter, carefully cut your screen to fit the doorway section. Be sure to adhere to the measurements you took before, and add at least an extra inch to both sides to account for seam allowances.
- Attach Your Zipper to the Screen. Line your zipper up with the two pieces of screen netting up with the zipper, then staple or glue the two pieces together.
- Attach Your Velcro Fasteners to the Edges. Similarly, you'll need to install one-half of the velcro fasteners to the perimeter of your screen. You can do this with any of the options mentioned above.
- Put Velcro Fasteners Along the Edge of Your Garage. Line the inside of your garage with the other end of the velcro fastener strips you picked up earlier.

- Measure the Door Frame. The first thing you will need to do is to take your tape measure and take the measurements of your door frame. Accurately measure the opening by starting your tape at the outer edge of one door frame and leading it across to the outer edge of the other.
- Cut Your Screen. Now that you have your measurements in hand, take your screen material and lay it out. Take your scissors and cut your screen to meet the size of your measurements.
- Attach the Fastener. Now that your screen is cut and the hems are taken care of, you can take your fastener and attach one side of it to the bottom inside of the door itself.
- Roll It Up. Now you can take your screen and roll it up. Attach straps to the hook and loop fastener on the inside of the door. This will keep your screen up and out of the way until you need to use it.
- Let It Go. When you are ready to use your newly made screen, all that needs to be done is to open the garage door and release the straps that are holding the screen up.
