Because of the demand, these wine biscuits can be seen in almost every bakery in Sri Lanka. Most parents buy wine biscuits for the kids. Steps:
- Add sugar and eggs to a bowl and beat using a beater until sugar melts.
- Now add some vanilla to suit your taste, butter, and beat again.
- Then add all-purpose flour and baking soda, beat again.
- Put the batter into a piping bag.
- Pipe the batter into a parchment paper layered baking tray.
- Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 170c' for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Bake the biscuits for around 20 minutes.
- Leave the baked biscuits aside to cool.
- Take out the cooled biscuits from the baking tray.
- Now your homemade wine biscuits are ready to be served.

Steps:
- Add all ingredients in a bowl except flour; mix well.
- Add flour one cup at a time to make moist dough.
- Take 3-4 tablespoons of dough and roll into a tube long enough to make a pretzel shape.
- Make into pretzel shape(doesn't have to be perfect, I have make spirals before too).
- Repeat with rest of dough.
- Bake on a cookie sheet, 2 inches apart, at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
- Store in airtight container after cool.

- Preheat oven to 350°F
- In a food processor blend together the flour, sugar, salt, black pepper and the baking powder, add the wine and the oil and blend the mixture until it just forms a dough.
- Divide the dough into 24 pieces, roll each piece into a 3 inch-long log, and press the ends of each log together to form a ring.
- Arrange the rings of dough 1 1/2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets and bake them in batches in the middle of the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until the bottoms of the biscuits are turning golden.
- Transfer the biscuits to a rack and let them cool for 5 minutes.

Steps:
- In medium size bowl place sugar, oil and wine; mix together till completely combined.
- Stir 2 cups flour and baking powder together; add to wet mixture and blend well.
- Add 3-4 cups more flour, slowly mixing as you go until mixture pulls away from bowl and holds its shape.
- Pinch off small pieces and roll into logs as thick as your finger and 3-4 inches long. Shape into rings and place on cookie sheet. When sheet is full, brush tops with beaten egg mixture and bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
- Cool on wire rack.
- Don't be alarmed at the color of the dough-it's kinda grey with a pink blush.
