These Snickerdoodle Cookies taste just like the ones Grandma used to make! Who doesn't love Snickerdoodles?

2 ⅔ cups flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
⅛ teaspoon salt
1 ⅓ cups sugar
1 cup butter (softened)
2 eggs
¼ cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Combine flour, cream of tartar, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • With mixer on medium, combine sugar, butter and eggs. Stir in flour mixture.
  • Combine cinnamon and sugar for topping in a small bowl. Divide dough into 32 pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Roll balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes.

3/4 cup Splenda granular, sugar substitute
2 tablespoons Splenda granular, sugar substitute
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup reduced-calorie margarine
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees and spray 2 cookie sheets with butter-flavored cooking spray.
  • Combine flour, 3/4 cup Splenda, baking powder and baking soda in one bowl.
  • In another bowl, combine margarine, egg and vanilla extract mixing well with a wire whisk.
  • Add liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix gently to combine.
  • In a smaller bowl, combine the remaining 2 tablespoons Splenda and cinnamon.
  • Shape dough into 24 - 1" balls and roll each ball in cinnamon mixture.
  • Place cookies on cookie sheets and flatten each with the bottom of a glass sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Bake for 5-7 minutes.
  • Cool on wire racks.

This is my great-grandma's recipe that everyone loves!

1 ½ cups white sugar
1 cup softened butter
2 eggs
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.
  • Beat 1 1/2 cups white sugar, butter, and eggs together in a bowl using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl; stir into creamed butter mixture until dough holds together.
  • Mix 2 tablespoons white sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl.
  • Form dough into 2-teaspoon-size balls and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place dough balls, about 2 inches apart, on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven on the center rack for 7 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
