Texas Trash (Warm Bean Dip) image

Creamy bean dip packed with flavor and topped with all sorts of ooey gooey cheese, baked to dipping perfection. I could make a meal out of this dip!

2 (16 ounce) cans of refried beans - I use Old El Paso Spicy Fat Free
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 Taco Seasoning packet
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • With a mixer, whip together cream cheese, beans, taco seasoning and sour cream until smooth. Spread into a 9x13 EZ Foil® by Hefty® Bakeware Pan. Sprinkle with both shredded cheeses, and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is slightly brown and dip is hot and bubbly around the edges.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.

1 lb sage sausage
1 (10 ounce) can rotel, mild (diced tomato with green chilis)
1 (10 ounce) can rotel, spicy (diced tomato with green chilis)
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese

Steps:

  • Put sausage in medium saucepan and constantly stir and break up in order to properly brown. Do not drain.
  • Once sausage is completely browned, add both cans of Rotel.
  • Let that cook and meld together for about 2 minutes.
  • Add both cream cheese bars.Constantly stir in order to make sure that cream cheese is completely melted. There should be no lumps of cheese. The cheese melts better with both the hot sausage and Rotel.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Microwave cream cheese and sour cream in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 minute or until cheese is softened. Remove from microwave. Mix with wire whisk until smooth. Add refried beans, green chiles, Seasoning Mix and 2 cups of the cheese; mix well.
  • Spread bean mixture into 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with no stick cooking spray. Sprinkle with remaining 2 cups cheese.
  • Bake 25 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips.

1 (16 ounce) bag Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips (this is my favorite but you can use any kind of chocolate you want, even white and carob)
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 1/2-2 sleeves of salt top saltine crackers

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Take a cookie sheet with raised edges and cover it with foil.
  • Place the crackers on the cookie sheet salt side down until it's covered.
  • Heat butter and sugar together until the sugar is well dissolved into the butter.
  • Pour the butter mixture evenly over the crackers and place in oven for five minutes.
  • Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and pour the chocolate chips evenly over the butter mixture and crackers.
  • Place back in oven for an additional five minutes.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool completely and then freeze for a minimum of two hours.
  • Remove from freezer and break apart.
  • Must be kept frozen if not being actively consumed.
