My firecracker recipe makes the perfect snack! Spicy little crackers that you'll want to munch on all day! Feel free adjust the level of spice by using more or less red pepper flakes.

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 sleeves Saltine Crackers (about 80 crackers total)
1 packet Ranch seasoning mix (dry)
2 tablespoons red pepper flakes (more or less, to taste)
1 cup canola oil

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 250 degrees and place a cooling rack on top of a jelly roll pan.
  • Add all of the ingredients to a gallon sized bag and seal. Shake and squish the bag to coat the crackers as evenly as possible.
  • Pour the crackers onto the cooling rack/jelly roll pan combination and place in the oven for 10 minutes.
  • Stir the crackers and continue baking for another 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving.
  • Store in an air-tight container.

1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix
1 ½ cups vegetable oil
1 (16 ounce) package saltine crackers

Steps:

  • Place ranch dressing mix and vegetable oil in a 2-gallon resealable bag; seal and shake until well combined. Add crackers and shake until crackers are fully coated. Set aside for 3 hours to allow crackers to absorb coating, shaking bag every 1/2 hour.

Calling all spicy lovers! Try our Ranch Fire Crackers recipe. The flavor kick of these zesty crackers will make them a favorite at parties, game nights and movie nights!

1 ½ cups olive oil
4 tablespoons Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Seasoning, Salad Dressing & Recipe Mix Shaker
3 tablespoons red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound saltine crackers

Steps:

  • Pour the olive oil, seasoning mix, red and black peppers into a gallon-size Glad® Zipper bag. Seal the bag and thoroughly mix the ingredients together until well blended.
  • Place all of the crackers into the bag, re-seal, and gently turn the bag over several times to coat the crackers with the spice mixture. Be sure to coat as thoroughly as possible.
  • Let the bag sit at room temperature overnight.
  • When ready to bake, preheat oven to 250°F. Lay the crackers on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, to seal in the spices and dry slightly. Store in an airtight container.

1 lb Club crackers (mini or full size)
1 1/8 cups canola oil
1 (1 ounce) package powdered ranch dressing mix
1 1/2-2 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Place crackers in a deep, air-tight food saver container with a lid.
  • Combine oil, ranch dressing mix, and red pepper flakes and whisk together thoroughly.
  • Pour oil mixture over crackers, cover with lid, and toss gently to thoroughly coat; turn container periodically until ready to serve.
  • Best if made one day ahead of serving. Will keep in airtight container for approximately one week. Do not refrigerate.
