PIGS IN A BLANKET

Pigs in a Blanket image

Kids love this one. My mom made it for me as did her mom. If making for a small child, cut the hot dogs into fourths length wise. The cheese is always optional.

QUICK AND EASY PIGS IN A BLANKET

Quick and Easy Pigs in a Blanket image

It doesn't take much to get these pigs all cozy and tucked in. Crescent roll dough does the trick. To change things up, try switching between regular hot dogs and more gourmet sausage varieties.

Time 15m

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 2

1 package (8 count size) hot dogs or smoked sausage links
1 can (8 count size) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven 400 degrees F. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it along the perforations to form individual triangles. Place a hot dog on the wide end of each triangle and roll up the dough around it like a crescent roll, pressing the point of the short end to seal the dough. Place the pigs in a blanket on an ungreased baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown. Serve the pigs in a blanket immediately with ketchup, mustard, or cheese sauce for dipping.
