1 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons grated onion
3 tablespoons prepared horseradish
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
3 drops hot sauce
2 tablespoons chopped fresh tarragon
Salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Whisk all ingredients in medium bowl to blend. Cover and refrigerate sauce at least 1 hour or up to 2 days.;

¼ cup prepared horseradish
⅓ cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
½ teaspoon hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's RedHot®)
¼ teaspoon garlic salt
¼ teaspoon onion powder

Steps:

  • Whisk the ketchup, chili sauce, horseradish, brown sugar, lemon juice, hot sauce, garlic salt, and onion powder together in a bowl until the sugar has dissolved; cover. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.

This is the way I've been making cocktail sauce for years. Never have to buy it because it is so incredibly easy and delicious to make at home. Fresh is always better!
