1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
4 cups sliced tart apples
8 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick, about 2 lb.
1 pkt. SHAKE 'N BAKE Original Pork Seasoned Coating Mix

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in large bowl. Add apples; toss to coat. Spoon into greased 13x9-inch baking dish.
  • Coat chops with coating mix as directed on package. Discard any remaining coating mix. Place chops in single layer over apples.
  • Bake 35 minutes or until chops are cooked through.

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt (divided)
3/4 teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground, divided )
6 pork loin chops (thick-cut boneless, about 1 inch/2.5 cm thick, trimmed of fat)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 sweet potatoes (peeled and sliced 1/4 inch thick)
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
3 apples (peeled, cored and cut into 1/2-inch rings)
1/2 cup dry white wine

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • 1. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, 1/2 teaspoon (2 mL) salt and 1/2 teaspoon (2 mL) pepper. Dredge the pork chops in seasoned flour, coating evenly and shaking off excess. Discard the excess flour mixture.
  • 2. In a large nonstick skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat until hot. Cook pork chops, turning once, for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until browned on both sides. Transfer to a greased 13- by 9-inch (33 by 23 cm) glass baking dish.
  • 3. Layer half the sweet potatoes over the pork chops. Sprinkle with one-third of the brown sugar. Layer half the apples over the sweet potatoes. Sprinkle with another third of the brown sugar. Layer with the remaining sweet potatoes, apples and brown sugar. Pour wine over the mixture and sprinkle with the remaining salt and pepper.
  • 4. Cover and bake in preheated oven for 1 1/4 hours or until just a hint of pink remains inside pork. Uncover and bake for 15 minutes or until apples are browned.

6 (1-inch thick) boneless pork loin chops
1 ½ cups water
¼ cup margarine
1 (6 ounce) package pork stuffing mix
1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling with cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; brown pork chops in the hot oil, 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  • Bring water and margarine to a boil in a saucepan; add stuffing mix and cover. Remove saucepan from heat and let stand 5 minutes to absorb water. Remove cover and fluff stuffing with a fork.
  • Spread apple pie filling into the prepared baking dish; layer pork chops onto pie filling layer. Spoon stuffing over pork chops. Cover baking dish with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes. Remove aluminum foil and cook until pork is no longer pink in the center, about 10 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

2 sweet potatoes, sliced

2 boneless pork loin chops (3/4 inch and 8 ounces each)
2 teaspoons canola oil
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon butter
1 small tart apple, chopped
2 tablespoons raisins
1-1/2 cups crushed chicken stuffing mix
2/3 cup condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, brown meat in oil for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 145°. Remove from the heat and keep warm. (Let meat stand for 5 minutes before adding to baking dish. , Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, combine the water, butter, apple and raisins; bring to a boil. Stir in stuffing mix. Remove from the heat; cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork., Transfer to a greased shallow 1-qt. baking dish. Top with meat. Spoon soup over meat and stuffing. , Cover and bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until heated through.

2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 bone-in pork rib chops, about 3/4 inch thick (about 1/4 pound each)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Place apples in 1 1/2-quart rectangular casserole. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Cover with foil; bake 15 minutes.
  • Trim fat from edge of pork. Spray 8- or 10-inch nonstick skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium heat 1 to 2 minutes. Cook pork in hot skillet about 6 minutes, turning once, until light brown.
  • Place pork in single layer on apples. Cover and bake 10 to 12 minutes or until pork is no longer pink when cut near the bone, meat thermometer reads 145°F and apples are tender.

6 pork chops
3 onions, sliced
4 cooking apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
4 tsp brown sugar, divided
salt & pepper to taste
2-3 slices of bacon, cut up.

Steps:

  • 1. In a large casserole layer half the onions and apples. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of the brown sugar. Add pork chops in a single layer.
  • 2. Then layer with remaining onions and the apples. Sprinkle with the remaining 2 teaspoons of sugar. Season generously with salt & pepper. Top with the cut up bacon.
  • 3. Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven 1-1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Served with peas or green beans and mashed potatoes Enjoy. This makes a very nice dinner.
  • 4. The pictures are what I made..for myself. I cut the recipe in half for my dinner.

1 tbsp vegetable or rapeseed oil
4 pork shoulder steaks (about 750g), cut into large chunks
1 onion, chopped
1 leek, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
bundle of woody herbs (bouquet garni) - we used 2 bay leaves, 3 sage leaves and 4 thyme sprigs, plus a few thyme leaves to serve
1 chicken stock cube
2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp cider vinegar
2 tsp cornflour
1 tbsp honey

Steps:

  • Heat your slow cooker. Drizzle the oil in a wide frying pan over a high heat. Season the pork, then add to the hot pan. Avoid overcrowding the meat - you may want to do this in batches. Cook until deep brown all over, then transfer to the slow cooker. Add the onion and leeks to the frying pan and cook for a few mins, until they soften. Add a splash of water and scrape any tasty bits from the bottom, then tip everything into the slow cooker. Add the carrot, herbs, stock cube, mustard and vinegar, season, then add enough water to just cover the ingredients. Stir, then set your slow cooker on low for 6-8 hrs, or high for 5-6 hrs.
  • In a saucepan, mix the cornflour and honey with 1-2 tsp of liquid from the slow cooker, until you have a smooth paste. Add 100ml more liquid, bring to a simmer until thickened, then stir back into the casserole. Serve with mash or dumplings, scattered with thyme leaves.
