2 ounces bourbon, brandy or American rye whiskey
Ginger ale, chilled, to top
Garnish: lemon peel

Steps:

  • Add the whiskey into a Collins glass over ice.
  • Top with ginger ale.

How to Make a Horse's Neck Cocktail image

The Horse's Neck cocktail is both simple and refreshing. Made with bourbon, brandy, or as a mocktail, learn the trick to pull it off.

Garnish: lemon (long peel spiral)
2 ounces ​ bourbon
3 ​ounces ​​ginger ale
2 to 3 dashes bitters

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Drape the spiral of a lemon peel over the rim of a collins glass so it twists around inside. Secure one end of the peel over the lip of the glass.
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour in the bourbon and top with ginger ale.
  • Add a few dashes of bitters.
  • Stir well . Serve and enjoy.

About 6 ounces ginger ale
Orange twist

Steps:

  • Pour liquor into an 11-ounce highball glass filled with ice. Add bitters and top off with ginger ale. Lightly stir and garnish with orange twist.
