Peach Cobbler Chex® Party Mix image

Peach cobbler flavors in an easy Chex® party mix.

6 cups Cinnamon Chex™ cereal
2 cups pecan halves
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 packages (1.2 oz each) freeze-dried peach slices

Steps:

  • In large microwavable bowl, place cereal and pecans.
  • In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter, brown sugar and corn syrup uncovered on High 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring after 1 minute, until mixture is boiling; stir. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered on High 5 minutes, stirring after every minute. Toss in peaches.
  • Spread on waxed paper. Cool 5 minutes. Store loosely covered.

3 cups Corn Chex® cereal
3 cups Rice Chex® cereal
3 cups Wheat Chex® cereal
1 cup mixed nuts
1 cup bite-size pretzels
1 cup garlic-flavor bite-size bagel chips or regular-size bagel chips, broken into 1-inch pieces
6 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ teaspoons seasoned salt
¾ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder

Steps:

  • In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, nuts, pretzels and bagel chips; set aside. In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
  • Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.

This is a great peach cobbler--so easy a child can make it! It is great right out of the oven served with vanilla ice cream.

1 cup white sugar
½ cup butter, room temperature
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
1 (15 ounce) can peaches

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a one-quart baking dish or 9 inch square pan, cream together sugar and butter. Mix in flour and milk until smooth. Pour peaches and their juice over the top.
  • Bake 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown.

My aunt gave me this recipe for a quick and easy Chex® party mix. With only six ingredients and the use of the microwave, this snack is ready in a hurry. And, it's yummy!

¼ cup margarine
4 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 ¼ teaspoons seasoned salt
6 cups crispy rice cereal squares (such as Rice Chex ®)
1 cup cashews
1 cup pretzels

Steps:

  • Mix margarine, Worcestershire sauce, and seasoned salt together in a large bowl until well combined. Add cereal squares, cashews, and pretzels; mix well.
  • Microwave on High for 2 minutes. Mix well, then microwave for 2 more minutes. Mix again, and microwave for 1 more minute.
  • Remove from the microwave and spread party mix on paper towels to cool before serving.
