PASTA HOUSE PASTA CON BROCCOLI
This is a copycat recipe of Pasta con Broccoli from Pasta House Company. My family absolutely loves it. It is easy to make and QUICK! I just made it before I sat down to post it and it took me 15 minutes prep time and only 20 minutes to bake. Try it... I'm positive it will become one of your favorites, too!

Steps:
- Once the broccoli, noodles, and mushrooms have all been prepared, combine all ingredients into a 9x13 baking pan.
- Cover the pan with foil.
- Bake in 425 degree oven till the sauce starts to thicken (approx. 20 minutes)Word of warning: The sauce will continue to thicken a little once it is out of the oven!

This is the acutal recipe (not a copycat) as posted on their website and as printed in the St. Louis Post Dispatch. THE REAL DEAL HERE MY FRIENDS (there are others posted on this website, but none of them are this exact recipe). This is so yummy and is a St. Louis tradition. This recipe serves 2, so feel free to double or triple it to feed your family. Serve as a main dish (as they do) with a Pasta House Salad on the side! It also makes a nice side dish to grilled chicken.

Steps:
- Cook pasta until half done (about 4 minutes); drain. Return pasta to the pot.
- Add cream, butter, garlic, tomato sauce, broccoli, salt and pepper. Bring to a hard boil.
- When noodles are fully cooked and sauce is starting to thicken, add mushrooms and stir to combine.
- Remove from the heat; add cheese.
- Toss and serve.

- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Prepare pasta according to package instructions. Drain. Place in a large mixing bowl.
- Add prepared broccoli, mushrooms Parmesan cheese, half and half tomato sauce and garlic powder. Mix well.
- Taste. Add salt and pepper, to taste.
- Pour mixture into a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Cover the pan with foil.
- Bake until sauce starts to thicken, about 20 minutes. The sauce will continue to thicken a little once it is out of the oven.
- Serve hot.

- Cook fettuccini in a large pot of boiling salted water until "almost" done. Drain, and return noodles to pot.
- Stir cream, butter or margarine, tomato sauce, garlic, and broccoli into the noodles. Simmer until noodles are done. Stir in sliced mushrooms, and remove from heat. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

- Boil pasta for 5 minutes; drain.
- Reserve 1 cup liquid.
- Add all ingredients except parmesan cheese.
- Cook about 10 minutes until broccoli is tender.
- Add liquid until you see it coming up through pasta.
- Add cheese to thicken.

- Add the pasta, broccoli, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, tomato sauce, milk, and broth to a large pot. Cover and bring to a full, rolling boil. Stir and reduce the heat to medium low. Simmer covered for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook until there is 1/2 to1 inch of liquid left in the bottom of the pot. *NOTE: Keep an eye on the pot in the beginning of the cooking process because milk tends to boil over easily.
- Remove the pasta from the heat and stir in the mushrooms and the parmesan. Let the pasta rest for 3-5 minutes before serving. The remaining liquid will absorb into the pasta and the mushrooms will soften.
