LEMON, LIME, AND ORANGE CITRUS COOLER

This citrus cooler recipe is made with lemons, limes, and oranges. It is a flavorful alternative to lemonade.

Ingredients

6 large lemons, divided
3 large limes, divided
6 large oranges , divided
3 quarts water
1 1/2 cups sugar, or more to taste

Steps:

Gather the ingredients.
Squeeze the juice from 5 of the lemons, 3 of the limes and 5 of the oranges; pour into a gallon container.
Add water and sugar to juices; mix well.
Thinly slice the remaining orange and lemon and set aside for garnish.
Chill thoroughly and keep in the refrigerator. Serve on ice with orange and lemon slices.

1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 cup sugar

Steps:

In a half-gallon pitcher, combine orange juice concentrate, lemon juice and sugar. Stir in enough water to make 1/2 gallon.

In a food processor, process zest, sugar, and salt for about 10 to 15 one-second pulses, or until damp. With machine running, add OJ and lemon juice in a steady stream. Continue to process until sugar is fully dissolved, about 1 minute.
Pour the orange juice and seltzer into a tall glass, with enough clearance to hold the sherbet. Add the sherbet and let it fizz. Alternatively, you can blend the three ingredients together for a shake of sorts. Enjoy!
