NUTTY PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE BALLS
I think this was originally a recipe from Hershey. They are yummy. I like to make a lot of different desserts for the holidays. This is one that has been requested over and over. They make great gifts for neighbors, friends, and relatives.

Steps:
- 1. line a 9 inch pan with foil
- 2. cook butter,peanut butter,and milk in saucepan until it is melted.gradually beat in powdered sugar and vanilla.
- 3. remove from heat and pour in to pan. note:cool completely. mixture will look dry but that's ok.)
- 4. line 2 trays with wax paper.roll peanut butter mixture in to 3/4 inch balls until firm enough to handle.if they get a little warm refrigerate for a bit.
- 5. place chocolate chips and shortening in a bowl. microwave on medium. stop microwave and sir when it looks like it is melting. do this just until all melted.
- 6. dip peanut butter balls in to chocolate mixture then roll in chopped peanuts.place on waxed paper. refrigerate until firm. store in fridge or cool place.
- 7. These make awesome gits for the holidays too.
GRANDPA'S PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE
This is my grandpa's famous family recipe that he guarded almost all my life, but it's such a good treat I had to share it! Makes a great gift for friends, your kid's teacher, co-workers, or anyone really!

Steps:
- Mix brown and white sugar with the milk in large pot; bring mixture to a boil. Stir in peanut butter, reduce heat to medium, and bring the mixture back to boil (stirring constantly). Remove the pot from heat when a drop of the mixture forms a ball in a glass of cold water.
- Stir margarine and vanilla into the mixture; stir vigorously until the fudge hardens. (Always stir in same direction.) Pour fudge onto buttered plates or waxed paper. Let cool and cut into 1-inch pieces.

PEANUT BUTTER BALLS III
This is another recipe for Peanut Butter balls. This one I got from my 96 year old neighbor, Mrs. Lucille Savage. She still makes them at Christmas and now I do too.

Steps:
- Melt peanut butter and butter in saucepan, over low heat. In large bowl, mix crispy rice cereal and confectioners' sugar well. Pour melted peanut butter and butter over cereal and sugar and blend together thoroughly.
- Form into 1 inch or smaller balls, spread on cookie sheets, chill till firm in refrigerator (over night is okay).
- Melt chocolate in double boiler and keep melted while working with balls. A teaspoon is best to use in dipping the balls in chocolate. Dip good and place on cookie sheet. As you dip them place them back on cookie sheet and keep chilled till firm.

- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and milk. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Pour over confectioners' sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat until smooth; pour into an 8x8 inch dish. Chill until firm and cut into squares.
