everyone that i have served this garlic bread loved it. The garlic taste is superb! This came from a church friend and it is so easy to do!

Number Of Ingredients 5

150 g margarine
2 -3 teaspoons chopped garlic
dried Italian herb seasoning
1 teaspoon sugar
crusty bread, slice in several pieces (French Loaf or Baguette will be good)

Steps:

  • Mix margarine and garlic till combined.
  • Sprinkle as much italian herb as you want for the zest taste.
  • Combine sugar into the mixture.
  • Spread mixture on bread and put under hot grill for 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve!

Never Fail Banana Bread image

This is a recipe from my 5th grade teacher. She was a wonderful cook who had to feed a table full of ranch hands everyday. It's so simple and fail proof, I'll never use another recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 cups flour
1/2 cup margarine
3 ripe bananas, mashed
3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda

Steps:

  • Mix sugar and margarine till creamy. Then add eggs and mix well.
  • Add all other ingredients.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour .
  • Also makes beautiful muffins (12).

Never Fail Bread Dressing image

A quick and easy dressing recipe. Almost as easy to make as the boxed stuff, but with a real homemade taste.

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup pecans, chopped coarsely
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon rubbed sage
1/2 teaspoon marjoram
4 cups dry bread cubes
1 egg
1/2 cup chicken broth

Steps:

  • Melt butter over low medium heat.
  • Add celery and onions and saute until vegetables are soft, but not browned. Add pecans,pepper, sage and marjoram. Stir to combine and remove from heat.
  • Beat egg with chicken broth and pour over bread cubes. Stir to combine and add butter mixture. Fold together gently until well mixed.
  • Spoon dressing into a buttered casserole pan, cover, and bake at 375F for 35 minutes. Uncover for last 10 minutes if you like a crisp top.
