- Mix together the tomato paste, water, and olive oil. Mix well. Add garlic, salt and pepper to taste, oregano, basil, and rosemary. Mix well and let stand several hours to let flavors blend. No cooking necessary, just spread on dough.

JOYCE'S SIMPLE PIZZA SAUCE
Simmer a blend of tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, basil, sugar, and minced onion for a yummy sauce for pizza. I can't have garlic, dairy (from cows), or gluten, but I can have pizza with this sauce on a gluten-free pizza crust and by using Gouda goat cheese.

This is a basic sauce that has good flavor and is not bland or sweet. Add a little red peeper flakes if you like some heat. It's delicious!

- Saute the garlic and onion until the onion is soft and translucent (5-7min).
- Add the oregano and basil and saute 1 minute more just to heat the herbs through.
- Add the tomatoes, salt, and dash of pepper.
- Simmer (uncovered) 20-30 minutes or until thickened.
- This sauce can be refrigerated for up to a week, or frozen for a few months.
- It's also great for pasta!
