Bisquick Heart Smart® recipe! Bake layers of ham, turkey, cheese and raspberry spread as the filling of a warm sandwich.

2 cups Bisquick Heart Smart® mix
3/4 cup fat-free (skim) milk
1 egg or 1/4 cup fat-free egg product
5 oz reduced-fat Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
6 oz deli-style lean or fat-free ham or turkey ham, very thinly sliced
6 oz deli-style lean or fat-free turkey, very thinly sliced
1/3 cup strawberry or raspberry spreadable fruit
Powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish, or spray with cooking spray. In medium bowl, stir Bisquick® mix, milk and egg until blended.
  • Spread half of the dough in bottom of baking dish. Top with half each of the cheese, ham and turkey. Spread spreadable fruit over turkey to within 1/2 inch sides of dish. Top with remaining ham, turkey and cheese. Spread remaining dough over cheese to sides of dish.
  • Bake uncovered about 30 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar. Serve warm.

5 ounces swiss cheese, thinly sliced
6 ounces deli ham, very thinly sliced
6 ounces deli turkey, very thinly sliced
1/3 cup strawberry all-fruit spread or 1/3 cup raspberry spreadable fruit
powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400ºF.
  • Lightly grease square baking dish, 8x8x2 inches, or spray with cooking spray.
  • Stir Bisquick, milk and egg in medium bowl until blended.
  • Spread half of the dough in bottom of baking dish.
  • Top with half each of the cheese, ham and turkey.
  • Spread fruit spread over turkey to within 1/2 inch sides of dish.
  • Top with remaining ham, turkey and cheese.
  • Spread remaining dough over cheese to sides of dish.
  • Bake uncovered about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
  • Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar.
  • Serve warm.

1/3 cup fat-free (skim) milk
1 egg white or 2 tablespoons fat-free egg product
2 oz reduced-fat Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
3 oz deli-style lean or fat-free ham or turkey ham, very thinly sliced
3 oz deli-style lean or fat-free turkey, very thinly sliced
2 tablespoons strawberry or raspberry fruit spread
Powdered sugar

Steps:

2 cups Bisquick
1 egg
3/4 cup skim milk
6 ounces low-fat swiss cheese, sliced thin
6 ounces deli reduced-fat ham, sliced thin
6 ounces deli reduced-fat turkey, sliced thin

powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Mix bisquick, egg, and milk. Combine. Spread HALF of dough into 8 inch square pan.
  • Top with half of cheese, half of ham, half of turkey.
  • Spread fruit spread within 1/2" of sides of pan. Top with remaining cheese, ham, and turkey.
  • Spread remaining dough over this.
  • Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
4 slices whole wheat bread
2 slices reduced-fat Swiss cheese
4 slices deli turkey
1/2 cup egg substitute
1/2 cup fat-free milk
1 teaspoon confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons apple butter

Steps:

  • Spread mustard over one side of each bread slice; top two slices with cheese and turkey. Cover with remaining bread, mustard side down. In a shallow bowl, beat egg substitute and milk. Dip sandwiches in mixture, coating both sides., Heat a griddle coated with cooking spray; toast sandwiches until lightly browned on both sides. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Serve with apple butter.

  • Grease a 9 x13 baking pan. Place half of the cubed bread in the prepared pan. Sprinkle with the ham and cheese. In a small bowl, whisk the dijon mustard with 1 tablespoon water. Drizzle over ham, cheese and bread. Top with remainder of cubed bread.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, salt and pepper. Pour over top of casserole. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Uncover casserole and you should find that all liquid has been absorbed by the bread. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, softened butter and nutmeg. Sprinkle over the top of the casserole and bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes until browned and bubbly.
  • While casserole is cooking, melt raspberry jam and water in a small sauce pan. Mix until smooth and thinned. Remove from heat and set aside. Serve casserole with Raspberry sauce or on the side.
