My parents would always have a party on Christmas eve at our house and invite all of our family. My mom would make all those 70's appetizers, but this was one of my favorites. It tastes just like oysters but there are none in it....its amazing.

Ingredients

3 celery stalks, minced
1 medium onion, minced
4 oz can mushrooms, stems and pieces
6 oz roll garlic cheese, cut into cubes
1 stick of butter
10 oz frozen chopped broccoli, cooked and drained
10 1/2 oz can of cream of mushroom soup

Steps:

1. Sauté celery, onion, and mushrooms in butter for five minutes on medium heat.
2. Lower heat and add remaining ingredients. Simmer gently, stirring until mixture is smooth.
3. Serving Suggestions: Serve as a hot dip with butter crackers. Fill miniature pastry/patty shells with mixture and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.

1 package frozen broccoli
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 roll Kraft garlic cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 stick butter
1 onion chopped
1 large bag Scoop Fritos

Steps:

Cook broccoli until finely apart, then drain. In medium pot saute onion in butter. Add drained broccoli and mushroom soup. When hot, add Kraft garlic cheese and garlic powder.

1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
1 (10 1/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (6 ounce) package garlic cheese (Kraft brand preferred or Copycat Kraft Garlic Cheese Roll)
1 (10 ounce) box broccoli (chopped)
1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, drained and chopped (or large if you prefer)

Steps:

Saute onion in butter and then add other ingredients.
Cook on medium heat for 15 minutes until thoroughly heated.
Serve warm with crackers or over baked potato.

1 (32 ounce) package frozen broccoli, cooked, drained, chopped
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup green onion, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms, sliced, drained
Tabasco sauce
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
salt & pepper

Steps:

Saute onions and garlic in butter until tender.
Add mushrooms, soup and Tabasco sauce, salt & pepper to taste. Mix well.
Add cooked broccoli and cheese. Mix well.
Cook for about 5 minutes over low heat.
Serve in chafing dish with Ritz Crackers.
