MICHAEL'S SLOPPY CHEESEBURGERS
A friend's Dad came up with this. Similar to Sloppy Joes, except you use Cheese Whiz instead of Sloppy Joe sauce. This can be varied in any number of ways by adding other ingredients to the mix (i.e. onions and mushrooms).

Steps:
- Brown the hamburger meat and drain.
- Return the meat to the pan and add the Cheese Whiz.
- Turn the burner on the stove to low and stir the hamburger and Cheese Whiz until it's mixed well.
- Add your favorite steak seasoning to taste.
- I use Montreal Steak seasoning.
- At this point, you can add chopped onions, mushrooms, bacon bits, or whatever you deem necessary to complete your "burger".
- Spoon it onto toasted hamburger buns, garnish as usual and enjoy.
SLOPPY GIUSEPPES
Michael's note: Add a little extra-virgin olive oil if the meat is lean. Substitute finely ground chicken or turkey for this sandwich.

Steps:
- In a large bowl, mix together the sausage meat, fennel seed, chili powders, and salt and pepper, to taste. In a large skillet over medium heat cook the sausage mixture until browned. Remove it from the pan and set aside; drain off all but 1 tablespoon of the fat from the skillet.
- Return the skillet to medium heat and add the onions and garlic. Cook until the onions are soft, stirring often, about 5 minutes. Add the red wine. Stir in the tomato paste, pureed tomatoes, and dried oregano. Bring the mixture to a boil and add the cooked sausage. Turn the heat down and simmer for about 15 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. If mixture is too thick, thin it with a little broth or water.

SLOPPY JOE BURGERS
The hamburger entree came from my mother, who is a real down-to-center country cook. Because it calls for a can of soup, there's no fussing. The filling can also double as a flavorful baked potato topping.-Leann Jasper, Newmarket, Ontario
