Steps:
- Heat closed contact grill 5 minutes.
- Place hot dogs on grill, close grill; grill 2 to 3 minutes or until hot.
- On bottom half of bun, layer cheese, pickle slice, hot dog and ham. Spread mustard on cut side of top bun if desired.
- Place filled buns on grill. Close grill; grill 3 to 4 minutes or until cheese is melted and bun is golden brown.

- The Oscar—hailing from Hollywood, LA. Grill 1 chicken hot dog. Toast a whole-wheat baguette and spread with 1 teaspoon prepared chipotle mayonnaise. Place the hot dog in the baguette and top with a sliced up quarter of an avocado, 1/4 cup shredded fresh green cabbage, and 1 sliced scallion.
- The Miami Dog—For when you're craving a dog with a Cuban flare. Grill 1 pork hot dog. Toast a hot dog bun and spread with 1 teaspoon mustard. Layer 1 slice each of deli ham, Swiss cheese, and salami on the bun.
- The Bun Mi—A take on the Vietnamese banh mi sandwich. Grill 1 all-beef hot dog. Mix 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon of sriracha and spread on a sliced baguette.

- On a cutting board, roll one slice of bacon around each hot dog. Place the tip of the hot dog over one end of the bacon slice, then roll the hot dog around and around on the diagonal so that the bacon wraps around it and covers it entirely. If you get to the end of the hot dog and there is still some bacon left, roll back in the other direction until the whole strip of bacon is rolled around the hot dog.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon-wrapped hot dogs and cook, turning every 2 to 3 minutes, until crisped and browned on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, heat the vegetable oil and add the 1 cup chopped white onion. Sauté the onion until it softens and becomes translucent, about 5 minutes. Scrape into a small bowl and set aside.
- Meanwhile, char the güero chiles on a hot comal or skillet set over medium heat for 3to 6 minutes. Turn it once or twice, until its skin has lightly charred. Remove from heat.
