MAPLE GLAZED PORK CHOPS
Everyone cleaned their plates when my mother made these succulent, tangy-sweet pork chops when I was growing up. Now I get the same results when I serve them to my family alongside applesauce and au gratin potatoes. -Cheryl Miller, Fort Collins, Colorado

- In a large shallow dish, combine the flour, salt and pepper. Add pork chops and turn to coat. In a large ovenproof skillet, cook chops in butter over medium heat until a thermometer reads 145°, 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove and keep warm. , Meanwhile, in the same skillet, bring the vinegar to a boil. Reduce heat; add maple syrup. Cover and cook for 10 minutes. Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; gradually add to maple mixture. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, about 2 minutes. , Place chops on a broiler pan; sprinkle with brown sugar. Broil 4 in. from the heat until sugar is melted, 1-2 minutes. Drizzle with maple glaze.

- In a small bowl, combine the mustard, pepper and 2 teaspoons syrup. Brush over both sides of pork chops. In a large nonstick skillet, brown pork in butter over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side. Add apple juice. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until meat is tender. Remove chops and keep warm.
- Add pecans and remaining syrup to the skillet; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until blended. Serve over pork chops.

- In a small bowl, whisk syrup, vinegar, salt and pepper until blended. Pour 1/2 cup marinade into a shallow bowl. Add pork chops; turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour. Reserve remaining marinade for basting., Drain pork chops, discarding marinade. On an oiled grill, cook pork chops, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from heat 13-17 minutes or until a thermometer reads 145°, turning occasionally and basting with reserved marinade during the last 5 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops in the preheated skillet until browned, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Arrange seared chops into a casserole dish.
- Whisk maple syrup, water, onion, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, salt, and pepper together in a bowl to dissolve the chili powder; pour over the pork chops.
- Bake in preheated oven until the chops are no longer pink in the center, about 45 minutes.

I haven't tried this recipe. I got this recipe from Schwan's. The recipe says to serve with Schwan's garlic red skinned mashed potatoes.

Steps:
- Saute pork chops in oil over medium high heat for 6-8 minutes on each side. Add onion and cook an additional 4-6 minutes.
- Mix together syrup, soy sauce, pecans, sage and pour over chops.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Place cooked pork chops on top of hot prepared potatoes. Drizzle with sweet soy sauce and serve.

- Place a large piece of plastic wrap onto the counter, with the pork chops on one side. Fold the piece of plastic over to cover the pork. Use a flat meat tenderizer to pound the pork chops thin, just a little thicker than ¼”.
- Set up 3 shallow bowls. Add the flour and a good pinch of salt to the first. Toss well. Whisk the eggs with ¼ cup of maple syrup in the second. Combine the panko, pecans, and a few cracks of black pepper in the third.
