75 gram Salted Butter
75 gram Powdered Confectioners Sugar
1 Egg
1 Mandarin Orange
1 teaspoon Orange Extract
200 gram All-Purpose Flour
as needed Orange Food Coloring
as needed Green Food Coloring
as needed Whole Clove

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C), fan-forced.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together Salted Butter (75 gram) and Powdered Confectioners Sugar (75 gram) until fluffy.
  • Grate in the zest of the mandarin orange and drizzle in 1 1/3 Tbsp Mandarin Orange (1).
  • Add some Orange Extract (1 teaspoon) followed by an Egg (1).
  • Once it is well combined, stir in All-Purpose Flour (200 gram) and knead until it turns into a dough.
  • Portion out 20 grams of dough into a separate bowl. Stir in 1/2 Tbsp of salted butter and Green Food Coloring (as needed). Transfer into a piping bag and set aside.
  • For the rest of the dough, dye it with some Orange Food Coloring (as needed) and knead until the color is even.
  • Roll them into 1/2 Tbsp balls.
  • Then insert a Whole Clove (as needed) onto each ball. Pipe out the green paste you prepared earlier to mimic it like the leaves of the oranges.
  • Bake them in the oven for about 30 to 35 minutes at 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  • Let them cool before transferring to a container or serving.

11 oz canned mandarin oranges
1 c butter flavor shortening
2 c sugar
1 c milk
4 c flour
2 tsp orange zest
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp orange extract
ORANGE CITRUS ICING
6 c powdered sugar
2 tsp butter, melted
1 tsp orange extract
2 tsp lemon juice

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350.
  • 2. Cream together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  • 3. Add in the mandarin puree and milk mix. Add in remaining ingredients.
  • 4. Drop by spoonfuls onto a well greased baking sheet.
  • 5. Bake for 12-14 minutes. While cookies are baking beat together all the icing ingredients until smooth.
  • 6. Make sure you let cookies cool on rack completely before dipping each cookie into the icing.
  • 7. Store in an airtight container, with wax paper between layers.

½ cup butter (softened)
½ cup light brown sugar
½ cup sugar
1 egg
1-2 tsp orange extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 ½ cups flour
1 can (11 oz mandarin oranges, drained (reserve the juice))
1 cup powdered sugar
½ tsp orange extract
2-3 Tbsp reserved juice from mandarin oranges

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In a large bowl, cream the butter with the sugars for about 2-3 minutes. Add the egg and orange extract and beat for another 1-2 minutes. (One teaspoon of orange extract yields a fairly subtle orange flavor in the cookies, so if you want more orange flavor, go ahead and add a little more.)
  • Add the flour, baking soda and salt and mix until well combined.
  • Once the mandarin oranges are drained, place them on a plate and mash them with a fork. Don't re-drain the oranges, and then add them to the dough. Mix just until combined.
  • Use a cookie scoop to scoop the dough onto cookie sheets that have been lined with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  • Bake cookies for 8-9 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
  • To make the glaze, mix the powdered sugar, orange extract and about 2 tablespoons of reserved mandarin orange juice together. Add more juice as needed to achieve the desired consistency. Spoon or drizzle about 1 teaspoon of glaze onto each cookie.

2 (3.4 ounce) packages vanilla instant pudding
2 cups buttermilk*
2 (8 ounce) containers Cool-Whip non-dairy frozen whipped topping
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple tidbits, drained well
2 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained well
3/4 (11.5 ounce) package fudge-striped cookies (I used Keebler brand)
I have substituted milk before and I think it still tastes delicious

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together the dry pudding mixes and buttermilk. Fold in the Cool-Whip. Stir in the pineapple and mandarin oranges until incorporated. Break cookies into bite-size pieces and gently fold into salad mixture. Serve immediately. If you want to make this ahead of time, just wait to add the cookie pieces until right before you serve it because the cookies tend to go soggy, unless you like them that way!

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup salted butter, at room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1/2 cup orange marmalade
1 (8 ounce) can mandarin oranges, chopped and drained
1 cup white chocolate chips
powdered sugar (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F & Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or silpats.
  • Whisk together flour and baking powder in a medium bowl; set aside.
  • Place butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl and blend with an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture appears grainy but well-mixed.
  • Add egg and orange marmalade, beating until smooth; reduce mixer speed to low and add flour mixture and mandarin oranges.
  • Mix only until combined; do not overmix.
  • Fold in white chocolate chips; chill mixture for 30 to 60 minutes to firm up.
  • Drop tablespoons of dough onto prepared cookie sheets, placing cookies 1-1/2 inches apart.
  • Bake 15 to 18 minutes, until bottoms just begin to brown.
  • Let rest on cookie sheets for 5 minutes before using a spatula to move them to racks.
  • Cool to room temperature and dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
